'Dandy’, the first single to be lifted from Ian Hunter’s new album, 'Fingers Crossed, is Hunter’s fond tribute to David Bowie, reflecting on a relationship cemented in 1972 when Bowie produced Mott The Hoople’s album ‘All The Young Dudes’ and provided its hit title track.
“I think ‘Dandy’ might be my favourite track on the album,” Ian admits. “I like the line – ‘and then we took the last bus home’. David was an incredible artist with an insatiable curiosity for everything.”

Superior choice sir. May I also suggest the albums Stand Up, Aqualung, Warchild and Heavy Horses for your obviously finely tuned ear.

Thanks for the tips. I've always assumed JT weren't for me until I heard Benefit. Have now downloaded everything up to Songs From the Wood and I'm starting to work through them in chronological order.

How did I forget Songs From The Wood. Another cracker. Once you get to A, it starts to go a bit wrong for me but there is still plenty of good stuff before you get anywhere near that one.

Prophets of Rage - Rage against the Machine/Public Enemy/Cypress Hill supergroup. Makes me hark back to the Toothbrush in the early 90s.
