Got tickets to watch the Feelgoods on Canvey on the 9th November.

The new band is just a pale imititation with none of the original members.Enjoyable enough though if you just want to hear the old songs.Have to admit that the lead singer is quite good (though no Lee Brilleaux).

Wonder if Wilko will be well enough to join them for a few numbers?

Curiously, this didn't get a mention in Bob Stanley's (otherwise excellent) Yeah Yeah Yeah, The Story of Modern Pop.

Itwas always one of my favourite 60's songs.I saw her at Southend Odeon back in the day (on the same bill as Cliff Richard and The Shadows).

"Bobby" was obviously a lucky guy.:winking:

Jay and the Americans were another group who didn't get a mention in Bob Stanley's book.

Used to have a mate who was (and still is) a huge Four Seasons fan back in the 60's.

Probably that was what first made me champion the Beach Boys. But I always enjoyed the Latino sounds of Jay and The Americans too.

Another great group that didn't make Bob Stanley's book.It was a great thrill to see AFL do this again at the Palace back in September.
