Where's my pocket money then?

The day my record collection contains Max Bygraves, The Black & White Minstrels and Bing Crosby it's time to wave hello to that big Jukebox in the sky.

Bing was in fine form with 'The Thin White Duke' for Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth back in '77. You took your life in your hands singing with Bowie then - Bolan did on his show 'Marc' that September and bang ... his mini smashes into that tree on Barnes Common.

Funnily enough all of these artists featured in my mother's record collection along with Perry Como and Elvis.:scared:
Way to go.

Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis, Two Men with the Blues.

Interesting.Would have to say that WM (and his Jazz at Lincoln Center band)come out of this a lot better than WN on first hearing.

I can distinctly remember Bossa Nova Baby and (you're the)Devil in Disguise.Return to Sender too.Probably more if some physc.got me on the couch.

She also got me to buy her Marie Osmond's 'Paper Roses' back in '73. Now that was embarrassing as the fella in Guy Norris just smiled when I said it wasn't for me. She was a big fan of Dusty though, so it wasn't all bad.

An Akira the Don fest today, The Life Equation & Living in the Future.

Road Trip

The star of Glastonbury, Duanne Eddy. The "twang" is back.OK it's not as good as Cannonball or Rebel rouser but it's still highly enjoyable instrumental stuff. Thanks to Richard Hawley for backing the project.
