Just had a morning marathon of new albums;

Fleet Foxes; has the same lovely sound as the debut, but no songs grabbed me first listen
TV on the Radio; underwhelming, but I said that about Dear Science on first listen and came to love it
Bohren & the Club of Gore; stunning, particularly the track with Mike Patton
Bill Callahan; as superb as ever

He was asked about that during the gig.It was a date to plug his Bunny Lake book.Just one member of the Bad Seeds accompanying him-the bearded guy.

I assume you mean Warren Ellis? Also in his own band The Dirty Three, who are splendid in their own right and also in Grinderman with Cave. I've never really got into NC & the Bad Seeds, but it's on my to-do list.

That's out already? **** another one to add to my list albums to buy when I can afford it.

Lefty Fizell.(THe hit songs 1950-1970's).Getting in the mood for some alternative country tonight from Jim Lauderdale.Which reminds me JL does an excellent version of LF's No one to talk to (but the Blues)on his first Point of no Return album.

been listening to "the essential" iron maiden in the car coming home from work - the essential series is great if you want to get into a band. listened to "mud" and "yngwie malmsteen" last week. went to see "hardcore superstar" at the weekend, so may have to dig their cds out.
