Found this last night and by God every track brings back such memories. A genre of music that sadly had such a short lease of life but one that had a massive influence on mid to late 80's music in general.

For anyone that grew up with these sounds and wants two hours of cracking foot stompin funk both compilations are available here for gratis .... http://www.dazlingsoul.com/dazlers-mixed-specials.html

Sadly without the demised ex Southend resident Viv Stanshall. Are you going to see them mate.

One for you Rob.

Cheers, Harry! Didn't realise Sir Henry Rowlinson (sic) lived in Southend*... don't think I can afford it mate. Bit of work going on at 'Shrimpero Mansions' currently and I want to keep a 'war-chest' (love that word!) afloat for getting along to a few more games next season. Talking of which, fixtures should be out soon...
ps just checked the date & I remembered that it's also on the night when I 'play' football, still sadly trying to hang onto the last vestiges of youth!
*wasn't his place in a dreadful state when they found the old boy?

Fixtures out on Weds I think mate. Always good to have a warchest mate, be good to see you at a few games.

I still hang on to the last vestiges of youth by being younger than Cricko.

:Dcouldn't give you any green for this mate as I've got to 'spread it around' (ooh-err, missis), but post of the day thus far, mate! Be good to see you too mate and I look forward to studying that fixture list with one of my fine tooth-combs and extra strength reading glasses (that Cricko lent me)...:)
