What about the shareholders?

Total waste of money and a con that was. Really regret being ripped off by that *******, paying £100 odd quid for no more than a worthless piece of paper 🤔

Some of us regrettably paid more than ten times that to help keep the club afloat and the thought that at least the fab shares can be passed on to your children
What will I be passing on if anything, all that tradition and family history of involvement, brought to its knees by snake oil man

One can only hope that that we eventually get a decent owner and the club becomes successful both on and off the pitch and god willing those shares people bought become worth something

Makes me chuckle if he thinks he can out fox any potential buyers. They won’t be fooled by him
Exactly ! and that's why I think it'll be difficult to sell in it's current form. The club hasn't filed any accounts for the last few years, so how do they know what they are getting themselves into ? I think he needs to offer the more lucrative parts of the project, otherwise they won't be interested.

Not so long ago RM sold shares in the club.

I never purchased any but friends did. Where do they stand re the selling of the club I wonder?

Good point actually, I’m not sure what the actual share type was that Ron sold but even if they did have voting rights I’m sure Ron wouldn’t have sold enough to see himself out voted.

No it wasn't. The prospectus made it very clear that the shares would be worthless and never amount to anything. More fool you for not reading. Or worse, reading it, buying them anyway and then complaining.

All of the club's shares are listed as "ordinary" shares on the shareholder list. It might be that this is the case and all of the shares are of exactly the same class and carry the same voting weight, but nobody holds enough even if pooled together to make a difference. Or it might be the case, as many companies do, that the "ordinary" share class is split further behind the scenes, e.g. "ordinary A" and "ordinary B". One holds more voting power than the other, RM holds the shares with more and everyone else holds shares with less. Who knows?

What about the multiple loans given by the Directors of the club that many seem to have forgotten about or be unaware of - will these be repaid?

Roles of the shareholders
In general, shareholders have little power over the directors and how they run the company. Their main role is to attend meetings and discuss whatever is on the agenda to ensure the directors do not go beyond their powers – and provide shareholders' consent where required.
