I have just spoken to Smiffy and a few others about this ....as the thought of destroying all the hard work we have done so far on The Blue Voice ...was scaring the pants off me...All have said there was anger at the ref etc but no seats were ripped out or coins tossed from where they sat .........

I think this is a total wind up from a new poster.

From a West Standers point of view it was a horrendous day, after this stupid decision given by that referee it was pure mayhem in the West... from around Block T onwards it was going mental! I sit with the 'Barmy Army' for the atmosphere but today, this was a very strange day for me because everybody around was ripping out chairs, kicking them and throwing money at the players, but hey, another point in the bag for us. Harrold did not deserve this stupid card, but at the end of the day we can't change the referee's mind ourselves can we? :guns:

I sit in Block U and have for many games. There was none of this going on at all. I had my young daughter with me and her friend. As I was responsible for their welfare, if any of this was going on believe me I would have been out of there as quick as anything.

All that happened was the usual heated reaction to a shocking reaction by the goalkeeper, a lino with bionic eyesight and a ref who well, lets not even go there.

If you think that by making comments about chairs being ripped out and that lot is gonna be believed by those that were there then your sadly misguided.

If all this went on then...

1. Where were the police?
2. Where were the heavy stewards in the black jackets...I saw 1 or 2 (poss 3 at the most) down the front.
3. If they were all in the stand out of my view, where did they all come from? Beamed in from an orbiting spaceship maybe?

And I would have noticed something, I have seen trouble from the likes of Leeds and Millwall so we know what goes on so I have seen it happen.

If you want to try and ruin the good work of people on here then forget it....it aint gonna happen with blatant rubbish like that....:guns:

I certainly hope so too - agree it would be extremely worrying if there is a shred of truth in it . That ref will not hesitate to report the club if one single hairclip was aimed in his direction

Hopefully our fans are a bit more sensible than that as if not this could become a very dark day for the club

I would delete this now but if anybody from the club saw the first few bits I also want to make sure they see the truth before closing this.

Just to add to my post further up.....with reference to Millwall...when that was all going off people who had children or youngsters who didnt want to get hurt by things flying around, moved very quickly down to the block where we were sitting and quite a few did.

Again, none of this happened. Granted, lots of people stood up and were shouting things at the ref and goalkeeper...but nobody moved down the blocks away from where this might have started. Or is claimed to have happened. And if chairs were being ripped out they would have.

So, I would very much suggest this is some sad individual with too much time on his/her hands, merely intent on tarnishing the good name of those on SZ and indeed those genuine people who sit in the areas accused. Its very unfortunate that this sort of poster exists and does nothing good for anyone on SZ or for SUFC as a club by posting such blatant lies and rubbish.

Well said S_S. I'm block U also and didn't see anyone throwing anything on the pitch from my viewpoint.

Yeah, I shot three officials, six Yeovil players and 100 of their fans myself. But that's about par in the wild wild west. It was the usual outraged shouting, no more. Haven't seen anything actually happen in the West Stand since Southampton last year, and that wasn't much.

Apologies, I had heard that but wasn't at the game. I bottled it big style, ran off to Canada I was so scared. I said it was a holiday, but those 'in the know' knew the score.

Absolute rubbish all this. I was in block V in the west and apart from the crowd screaming their lungs out at the so called "officials" there was none of this throwing chairs business! The only time I saw this was when Millwall came to us and threw a few things. Nothing of the sort today. I felt very unsafe against Millwall but didnt feel unsafe in the slightest today.
