Took the week off from work as so much to do, would rather be home than at work and trying to concentrate!

Naturally apprehensive, though as the week goes on I'm starting to feel more confident. Nervous cagey 80 mins for me with someone (hopefully us) nicking it in the last ten.

Wycombe have found the goal scoring touch that almost swept them to automatic promotion. In a season where we kept over 20 clean sheets Wycombe put six past us. Will be very interesting to see if Brown goes to his almost default 4 5 1 to stifle Wycombe. Or keep with the 4 4 2 that has served us so well in the last 10/12 matches.
Personally I would stick with 4 4 2
Bentley
White Barrett Bolger Coker
Worral Timlin Lenny Atkinson
Piggy Corr

Looking at players.......white only appreciated when not in the team, defensively supreme, assists too
Coker, best left back in the league....fact
Barrett, league two play off winner, league two winner, league one winner, lower league success and experience that is so so vital to the young man playing next to him....Bolger, what a transformation since playing with AB they have formed a formidable partnership, my only concern would be the threat of raw pace for these two.
Worral, tenacious, quick, direct, I just think his end product has lacked of late.
Timlin, he has been outstanding in every department recently
Lenny....not his best season by any stretch but can produce big moments for us
Atkinson, has never tired during a game, ever, obscene work rate from start to finish
Corr, so close to legend status another player that gives you everything....can lack that goal at times but his goal return is good for a 'target man' a promotion with us should close the legend debate
Piggy....has goals in him as proven early in his stint, looked good on Thursday....good foil for corr.

I wouldn't be worried about Bolger's pace, he was tested twice against Stevenage by their fastest player, once in the first leg and once in the second leg and Bolger won both races by two/three yards. He's deceptively quick.

I'm hoping for the win in what I think will be a tight game.

That said as dissapointed as I'll be if we don't go up we have barnet orient brizzle rovers crawley to play whilst losing Tranmere shrewbury Burton and Bury with only Cheltenham semi local.

Much more southern league.

I still hope we win and play a 4-4-2 but if we don't win we have a great league to look foward to either way.

Good point...plus improved reading of the games negates pace issues somewhat.

Two very evenly matched sides. May well go into extra time and Southend's superior fitness will ultimately tell as in the Stevenage 2nd leg.

Going to be tight - let's not underestimate Wycombe who have had a fantastic season. I think the key for me is the strength in depth that we've got. Westley said as much in his post-match thoughts. My team for Saturday:

Bentley

White Bolger Barrett Coker

Atkinson Leonard Timlin Worrall

Corr Pigott

Subs: T.Smith, Prosser, Payne, McLaughlin, Cassidy, Weston, Deegan

1-1 after 90 mins (Corr)

Blues to win 2-1 with a Myles Weston goal in the 2nd half of Extra-Time!

Same starting 11 as on Thursday for me.
Mac did very well when he came on and I expect the same to happen on Saturday.

2 nil to Mighty Yellow Shrimpers. Corr and Tims.

That team for me too, bring Macca on second half and if need be Jack on for the last 20.

I was undecided whether to start McLaughlin or not. But i i think we should keep the same team and if it is a draw or losing, bring McLaughlin and Weston on.

The wait is unbearable i can't wait! Just play better then we did against Crewe!

That Crewe game was embarrassing as we applauded their triangles and give and goes, did we even concede any fouls..Adam won't stand for any fannies on the pitch, get into them then break them and finally best them.
