Breaking News Watt you mean gone?

His light never burned too bright for us. If at all...

Maybe he's like one of those energy saving bulbs where he takes his sweet time to get going but is pretty decent, albeit a few hours after you needed him in the first place.

I saw your postings on his Facebook page. I've only seen one game when he's been with us (Friday night) but didn't think he did too badly and certainly nothing to suggest he had a really poor attitude.

Shame he didn't do very well for us but it is also difficult to come into a team like ours that is in a relegation fight when he hasn't had much experience of real competitive football, especially at our level.

His choice to return, although to think he might be on the fringes of the first team is enormously ambitious because I haven't been that impressed with him at all. Showed glimpses on Friday, and I know he'd been struggling with an ankle knock, but like many of the loanee's we've had this season I think the players we have here aren't that much worse at this point in time...

To be fair to him, he was injured for the majority of his spell. I can't blame him for wanting to go back to Arsenal; morale in our dressing room must be at rock-bottom at the moment.

"Sanchez enjoyed his stay," Tilson told southendunited.co.uk this afternoon.

"He feels though it's best for him to go back to Arsenal for the remainder of the season.

"With Arsenal still in contention for the title going into the final few months of the season he wanted to be around their first team in the hope he will be involved at some stage."

Yeah, good luck with that son...

So does that mean we get a new loan in?

Think Man U need Gibson for the remainder of the season?

what's been poor about his attitude? Just because he performed poorly doesn't mean he was another Gilbert.

If you havent got the fight to play well when your not winning things...... then not the right attitude IMO,it would have put him in good stead for his arsenal future a few months loseing with us.

Fair enough but I don't think he hasn't been trying and to be fair he did pick up a couple of knocks in his time with us. Can't have been the easiest time to come into our dressing room either, especially with his first game having been against the sheep botherers on their shambles of a football pitch.

You have no idea what you're talking about... He wasn't overly fantastic in his spell with us, but he performed well enough for a young player with barely enough time to settle into the squad on top of struggling with various knocks.

His performances with us might not have set the world alight, but he showed enough on Friday for me to want him to extend his loan. I've certainly seen nothing to portray a negative or poor attitude.

Can't see him ever breaking into the first team week in week out any time soon, may get better but didn't see much promise..

When the going gets tough the weak get going.....ie Scott Malone same age great attitude, and i for 1 would much rather have him in midfield in a relegation fight.

Wouldn't agree with that at all. I have seen little from Malone to suggest he has the "attitude" for a relegation scrap. Puts in poor performance after poor performance, pulls out of far too many challenges and just generally looks his age when he is playing.
Watt didn't set the World alight, but remember when Robson-Kanu came to us? The first month he wasn't great but the more he played, the stronger he got, and the more effective he became.
It is a shame we are in a relegation battle because otherwise I feel we would have kept Watt till the end of the season, but we need people performing now, not in a month or so.

Junior Stanislas went from not setting our first team alight to the premier$hite. I think his performances were pretty similar to Sanchez Watt's*. They looked as if they had ability without ever really producing.

*Obviously Arsenal are far better than Wet Sham

Im surprised no onw has stated the obvious that this division was too physical for him. He couldnt hold on to the ball long enough to really make much of an impression.

Same problem as most of our fringe youths have.

To be fair, Stanislas' first game was against Luton at home when he scored a freekick and a header. Watt's first game was against Col Ewe in a mud bath.
