ITV probably has an agreement with the Football League to show the footage, which remains copyright of the FL.[b said:Quote[/b] (The Flying Scotsman @ Feb. 22 2005,11:26)]Wasn't the clip from the ITV highlights package - not FLPTV.

MtS, just out of interest, do you happen to know what is the current legal position re file sharing (peer to peer) instead of posting a link to a stored file on the web?[b said:Quote[/b] (Matt the Shrimp @ Feb. 22 2005,10:26)]Sorry folks, 'tis a sad reality of modern life. I've just spent the best part of 40 minutes drafting a very carefully worded e-mail to the Football League for Napster & Leeboy, in order to protect this website.
Please, if you want SZ to stay open, do as Paul says... even though it saddens me to say so.

Whilst I don't know for sure, my instinct is that (alas) file-sharing is also a breach of copyright...[b said:Quote[/b] (glasgowsufc @ Feb. 22 2005,10:46)]MtS, just out of interest, do you happen to know what is the current legal position re file sharing (peer to peer) instead of posting a link to a stored file on the web?

Just another example of corporate culture fisting the ordinary football fan
Yep, and for that we can thank Mr. Murdoch, and the greed of the largest clubs in our land - yet another reason to loathe Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and the like.[b said:Quote[/b] (glasgowsufc @ Feb. 22 2005,10:58)]Just another example of corporate culture frustrating the ordinary football fan
Really good article in this months 4-4-2 about the future roadmap for football & I never ever thought I'd say this but I find myself in full agreement with Graham Kelly (ex Chief Exec of the FA who's reign covered the instigation of the Premier$hite in 92). His point of view was that the FA was found wanting when it's direction was probably needed most throughout it's 100+ years in existence & allowed itself to be bankrolled by the "Big 5". This lack of autonomy is still being felt & in his opinion may well have dramatic consequences for the professional game over the next 25 years.[b said:Quote[/b] (Matt the Shrimp @ Feb. 22 2005,11:06)]Yep, and for that we can thank Mr.
Bloody Premier$hite football...
So, Kelly was in charge of the FA... and...[b said:Quote[/b] (glasgowsufc @ Feb. 22 2005,11:13)]Graham Kelly (ex Chief Exec of the FA whose reign covered the instigation of the Premier$hite in 92).
Nuff said, really. Kelly's squeaky voice was a result, it might be said, of his lack of cojones.[b said:Quote[/b] (glasgowsufc @ Feb. 22 2005,11:13)]the FA was found wanting when its direction was probably needed most throughout its 100+ years in existence
Exactly why I used the term "never ever thought I would agree " with him![b said:Quote[/b] (Matt the Shrimp @ Feb. 22 2005,11:21)]Nuff said, really. Kelly's squeaky voice was a result, it might be said, of his lack of cojones.
He can speak authoritatively as to the FA's lack of leadership and courage, because he was in charge of the FA. He is, frankly, a prize wiener of the highest order, and a man who continues to make my toes curl at the very thought of him.

Would be about right though....
Well said ORM, now if football supporters united & gave FLPTV et al that message we might get somewhere![b said:Quote[/b] (* ORM * @ Feb. 22 2005,12:05)]Why don't we just tell them all to f**k off and find an offshore server for Shrimperzone in future ?
I happen to subscribe to Sky but I never seem to be able to get to watch the highlights on either Sky or ITV. All I want to do is watch highlights of the team I love. Where is the crime in that ?
