Wages at SUFC

The Shrimpers Trust has noted assumptions made by SZ members concerning 6 months upfront wages allegedly paid to Phil Brown, as a result of which, we asked a question of Steve Kavanagh at our recent liaison meeting.

He categorically refutes and denies that Phil has received any wage payment up front, and at the same time, confirmed that ALL staff were paid on time last month.

The Shrimpers Trust is pleased to be able to convey this message to clarify things for supporters.

If you want to something or someone to fail (in this case Southend United and Ron Martin) you can spread enough poison to help it happen - true or not.

Its better than it has been and thats good enough at the moment for me. We are now playing games and have a flow of income again unlike during the close season. Hopefully, we can start the season reasonably well, the attendences will be ok and that should mean the players/staff will continue to be paid on time. Well, at least for now.

Yep praise where it's due, despite all my misgivings long term, Ron Martin has had a very good Week, and getting Phil Brown in looks better as time goes by.

I do give the club a break, but unfortunately Ron has a track record which suggests we can all be abit weary!
