Very upsetting news

When I saw this thread I instantly recognised the name. I have since found out Tom was a friend of a friend of mine, and he is gutted by the news too.

My thoughts go out to all of his family and friends.

RIP Tom.

Re Tom Grace

Our Thoughts Are With His Family, We Understand Whot There Going Through, its So Hard To Deal With, We Are Very Sorry For Them.

As the younger of the Shrimpleds i wish to send my deepest sympathies to Tom's family. Just after turning fifteen i had a horrible time through illness and various doctors were thinking along the lines of cancers and other tumours in the brain although thankfully it turned out not to be. It took so much out of me even thinking about it let alone having it. For Tom to carry on that like through his illness takes so much strength, energy and bravery its untrue. I have never had so much respect for a fellow shrimper or for that matter be so proud to be a shrimper upon hearing that we had people like Tom amongst us. Sorry for the essay, it was from the heart.

I send my deepest condolences and sympathies to his family at this tragic time for them all.

he was a great lad who was full of enthucism( not sure on spelling ) always put smile on ya face and with great sadness hes gone !
never to be forgoton !

Ed

Well I know without asking I can count on a few in here for flowers.....Maybe just a fiver each ...Dts,Matt, Sbh,Callan,TB,Myself..Thats £30 quid ..anymore ?

Absolutely shocking news, and my condolences go out to his family as well.

I've only just caught up on this so John count me in as well please,

Ok well, I have the address now for the flowers and I am just waiting to hear from Chalkwell Blue as to when the Funeral is ...So I suggest we get our skates on here chaps.

I have had numerous Pm's and people who have posted on this thread have said they would like to contribute.

As the Board is still awaiting a Paypal link ( not for much longer ) The only fair way of paying and to save me running around trying to collect from individuals is to put your donation into the Zone Paypal account.

Therefore If you wish to contribute please PM Ken , Mcnasty with your Email address and the amount you wish to donate.. He will then invoice you on behave of the Zone and you can pay by credit card or from your current own Paypal account if you have one. Those of you who wish to pay cash should speak to Ken and maybe drop it into the Spread.

I think the pot should be split between flowers and as Hooly suggested any remaining monies to go to The Macmillan Trust.

Sorry this is abit messy but we need to act fast on this for obvious reasons.

Thanks ....John.

Might I suggest you hold fire with the Donation Part. It may well be that the Family might want Donations to GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital), UCL or Cancer Research UK, also sometimes they request Family Flowers Only.

This will all be in the announcement in the Echo later this week.

No Problem ..we will just do the flowers for now and hold the balance untill we have more infomation . As far as the flowers go, Chakwell Blue has Pm'ed the address to me as I believe he has spoken with the family so thats ok.

Very sad news and I pass on my condolences to Tom's family.

Colchester United had a similar situation around eight months ago when we lost a 14-year-old supporter to leukaemia. The players and fans raised money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, so hopefully in the future people like Tom and Emily can get the best care possible.

rip Tom.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Hi there - yes I am a West Ham fan (and no I wasn't at the game yesterday). So I wasn't someone who sat in any the Home seats. I was at the Emirates yesterday as my girlfriend is a Gooner. Although I am getting revenge by taking her to the West Ham v Roma game next week.

Tom was my cousin's (his Mum) son. Officially I think that is "first cousin once removed".

Just thought I would let you know we have been asked to make a donation as opposed to sending flowers.

Just like to say thanks for all your messages.
