Vanishing plane

Bizarre! No wreckage (after three days), no trace of the plane, what do you reckon happened? Can planes simply vanish?

Very odd especially with today's technology...they can track an iphone to within about 2 feet of when it was last on....

Surely ATC would know its exact location when radar contact was lost. And, surely, if a plane blew up mid-flight, there would be some wreckage, personal effects etc, floating.

Yeah, but they found that one.

Do think it just crashed in the sea though and like the Air France one will be found at some point, odd its taken this long now though.

They found it 5 days after it crashed.

Space aliens.

In all seriousness, an airline security chap on BBC breakfast claimed that 50,000 people a year try and travel into and out of the UK on false papers...and these are the one that get rumbled. :stunned:

Yeah well thats a delay in finding it and not vanishing completely innit.

As others have said with the advances in technology you'd think they had a good idea where it actually disappeared.

I did however see a documentary once, the plane disappeared and crashed on a weird Island and there was a strange organisation there and a polar bear, which they never explained, and they had to keep pressing a button and in the end turned out they were all dead but Tom Hanks managed to get back but he lost his best friend Wilson.

Sorry Jammy, you've LOST me..... (the time I put into that crap...if only I could turn back time....)

I'm not too sure that the airlines and authorities are as hot on passenger checks as they should be... My Sister in Law just flew to Tenerife from Southend last week and realised when she was in her hotel that she had actually used her daughters boyfriends passport! She's now trying to get an emergency passport issued by the consulate out there.

That aside, the latest conspiracy theory gripping my office is that the plane was shot down by one of the militaries in the area. Hence no fanfare from a terrorist cell claiming responsibility.

Why shoot down a civilian liner? I know the Russians did years ago though....

Where else do aliens come from than space :winking:

Some Dr. Who fan you are! Silurians!

as i understand it. the chinese either shot down a UFO which crashed into the plane causing both to go in the sea.
or the chinese were flying a captured UFO which they lost control of and crashed into the plane, again going in to the sea.

the chinese government know exactly where the plane is, they just dont want the world to know the have UFO technology.

the plane will be "discovered" once the UFO has been recovered and all evidence hidden.

Good enough for me Mulder

You heard it here first!
Anyway, Americia has been using UFO technology since the 1940's gathered from the Nazi Scientists.

Yeah, but you're wrong. The truth is always simpler. The truth is that the airline is trying out Romulan Cloaking technology. The plane is still flying around, but no-one can see it.
