To be honest, even despite scoring that little scuff actually woke me up, and I found the game actually had something to watch for..

I think the word is passion, and it has sadly been missing too often this season!

Sorry I meant Fletcher (the number 4)for Plymouth.
Timlin did show admirable restraint but there was no need for any other players to get involved.

So your work colleague/mate is been throttled, you're just going to stand there and watch? No, you will more than likely go in to break it up and help him.

I thought Grant was cautioned after the melee ?

Since when has what a referee has or has not done been a definitive proof of fact ?

Grant was cautioned for the foul he committed just as the incident kicked off behind him.

That would rather depend on who the workmate/colleague in question was, I would have thought.:winking:
More significantly this is the third time in only nine FL2 games that we've been involved in an incident of this type. Some sort of pattern there, surely? In any case we can't afford to lose players like Grant,Hall and Moshni on a regular basis if we're going to get out of this godawful league this season.
James, are you sure about that?
I had an excellent view of the Fletcher/Timlin incident (and the subsequent mêlée)from the East Reds and I tend to agree with Mick on this one.(Granted, I rather took my eye off of the ball when the simulated head butting and full on throat grabbing started).

Well no I'm not 100% sure - it was just my reading of events. Grant had already been warned and the ref blew for the foul he committed, not because of the incident which had just started and I don't think Grant was as involved as others were. If Grant was booked for getting involved then why was no one else?? Like I say I'm not sure but unless you get hold of the refs report you'll never know! Either way it's a suspension that was coming-just a question of when.
