Typical Pink Toothbrush Songs

Ron Manager

formerly Libertine
Putting together a Pink Toothbrush playlist on Spotify....suggestions please for Toothbrush songs, not so much the obvious ones but maybe the more obscure ones which remind you of nights in the best club in Essex...?

Top of my head...

Kennedy - Wedding Present
Eject - Senser
Love Your Money - Daisy Chainsaw
W.F.L. - Happy Mondays.

Been Caught Stealing
Yout Oughta Know
Novacaine for the Soul
Nancy Boy
One Way
Closer
Personal Jesus
Peaches
Loser - Beck
Out of Space
This Corrosion

Oh yeah that Skunk Anansie one

Not really a 'typical' Brush song as such but I distinctly remember a two month period in which every time I turned up there they were playing Tender by Blur. It was uncanny. So that's the song that reminds me of the Brush more than any other.

A few more...

Sons of the Stage - World of Twist.
Take 5 - Northside.
Shela Na Gig - PJ Harvey.
Joe - Inspiral Carpets.

I don't think I've ever heard the Brush play a slow song, unless they're trying to clear the floor at closing time.

Electric Six's - Gay Bar
Closer & Head like a hole - NIN
More Human Than Human - White or Rob Zombie (can never remember which one)

The Smiths and Joy Division get played far too much for my liking.
And at the moment we are being treated to Sex on Fire, and In for the kill twice a night!

Don't think I have ever heard a Skunk Anasie song played down there, and I've worked there for 10 years!

Thats White Zombie!!

Rage Against The Machine, Killing in the Name or Bullet In The Head.

That's why I said it wasn't a typical Brush song. Except for on saturday nights about ten years ago when it was on all the time.

Corrected. I've been in there twice I think, and both times all I've wanted to do is set light to the place with everyone inside. Full of rejects and weirdo's.
