TRANSPORT ON SUNDAY

For anyone that knows London does this plan sound any good?

C2C to Stratford, Elizabeth line to Paddington, then Paddington to Wembley Central on the Bakerloo line?
It will get you there. Plenty of routes to be taken but ultimately got to end up on a train that stops at Wembley Central or nearby

I've got the reverse issue - getting to Stansted right after the game - flight is at 10pm, which you think would be plenty of time, but it is tight if there's extra time.

There is a queuing system at Wembley Stadium Station (a 5-minute walk away), but none at Wembley Central (a 15-minute walk away). I've got my ticket to Stansted in advance to avoid any delay - the ticket is open, so I can travel at any time and by any route.

Wembley Central overground to London Euston - avoiding any tube issues.

London Euston to Tottenham Hale (Victoria Line).

Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport (Greater Anglia Stansted Express).
Do you have online check in? That will help. I can tell from bitter experience that Stansted aren’t flexible. I once missed a trip to Sweden because of traffic delays getting to Stansted in about 2cms of snow, despite getting into terminal 50 mins before the flight. Take a big A4 of the flight e-ticket to push through the queues for Wembley Central 😀😀

My decision to go Marylebone > Wembley Stadium is based purely on having a few beers near Baker St. .. not interested in a Wembley pub tbh they’ll be packed and expensive .. also want to wander round and take in the atmosphere

You should be OK for a 10pm flight, although it's another bit of stress added to the day. I had the possibility of a return flight......I think that it was 8.30 pm......decided that was cutting it a bit too fine! Monday in Southend, a walk along the pier? A Rossi's ice cream and an X30 to Stansted at the end of the afternoon.

The most mellow route in terms of crowds and hassle will be planning to arrive at Wembley 15 mins before kick off.. Wether you can handle the pressure of such liasse faire travel is up to you.

Can someone explain to me like a 5 year old best route from Liverpool Street to Wembley and what time trains are people getting?
Sorry if this is clear somewhere else or on another thread. Thanks
I will be going Liverpool Street to Paddington on the Elizabeth Line and then bakerloo from there, not sure if this is quickest though

Unfortunately, I'm working Monday - and I'm not in the type of job that has flexibility with holidays.

It's crazy money from Portugal to London. 300 Euros for a flight. Add in hotel in London for a couple of nights and the other bits like trains, tickets and you are looking at 7-800 for the weekend. As much as I would like to be there it's too expensive. I will pay for the TV stream.
I can sympathise. I’ve paid about €700 so far in flights/hotel and tickets. The hotel I could have gone a bit cheaper but I wanted to stay in London rather than suburbs. Add in food and transport and the costs mount up. Hiding the Credit card bills from the wife.

Checked in already and printed off boarding pass. 😁

A friend of mine had the tickets/coach package booked for them this afternoon, but says it doesn’t say where she’s supposed to get the coach from. Will details be sent out later?
