Signing Anto Flood was a cheap punt on an unfit striker, he won't make an appearance for a little while, according to Luggy.

have we signed this anto flood or not and why is he not playing? does anyone know if a defender will be signed for tuesday?

We have signed him but he is a young player who has to adapt to full time professional football. Might be a while yet before he features.

What a transfer window for us - can't believe the number of signings we've made - good quality too!

Baldwin, Timlin (perm.), Martin, Sampson, Benyon, Flood

Great bit of business by the club - strengthens the squad at just the right time - none of the other promotion contenders have done this much and so their seasons could fade a bit now.

Shrimpergarry I'll pass judgement if the Club has done good business on till the Club has proven itself on two fronts.

1| We are promoted, Which I'm sure we will.

2| And if theres no sign of a repeat of Financial problems at later dates.

However if we miss out on promotion, I dread to think of the repercussions.

FFS guys, have you forgotten what it was like 18 months ago? Why is no one questioning how all these signings are possible? We are a bankruptcy waiting to happen, but no one seems to care until it actually does happen.

Did I read on a thread recently that Sainsbury's had given us £5m and we'd blown most of it already? What happens when there's none left? What will we do then? Go back to slagging off the chairman? When we were on our knees 18 months ago there was a LOT of talk on these forums about living within our means. I take it we're not bothered about that any more?

I believe these questions were going to be asked at the fans forum but Tara conveniently went on the missing list.

Cricko is there a new date to ask TB the pertinent questions about finances?

Tara was unable to attend due to un-forseen business commitments with a new venture ( SUFC un-related ) but we will hopefully address people's questions in the near future.

The 5m was given to us to clear our outstanding debts, if most of the money hadn't already been spent than Sainsbury would have given us too much money, it wasn't intended for transfers etc.
A lot of people have been questioning out finances, but at the end of the day a lower league club is not a sustainable business and we, along with most of the other clubs will always be on a financial knife edge unless the FA changed the rules of lower league football. Even if something is going wrong we can't do anything about it unless someone happens to have a few million lying around, so I'm just going to assume everything is fine until the club say otherwise

But 18 months ago we couldn't pay our players. Now, not only can we pay them, we can carry a fairly big squad, and we seem to be able to afford small transfer fees. What is going on?

Ken I hear what your saying, however this meeting has been in the diary for over a month. His un foreseen business commitment should of taking 2nd place. With the latest council revelations and all the unanswered financial questions it does seem a bit convenient. Do you guys have any concrete dates for it to happen?
