Will Davies only signed for Sutton Last summer, so I'm almost certain he would be under contract.
Would like him here though, but after a good initial season with Sutton, not sure we could afford him.

He’s a good player but if people complain about Hopper then Davies will be written off fairly quickly too. Not a proper goalscorer but would work well with a Kendall type of striker

Luton obviously have plans for Bim. It showed their intent when he wasn't allowed to stay with us, and they got him up to the next league. I suspect next season or the one after, he will be loaned out to a League One club. Unless they think he's ready to go into their match day squad.

There was a report which I think I saw in the Ex-Shrimpers forum which said he's got interest from MK Dons, other League One clubs, and St. Mirren from Scotland, and Luton would let him go for 150k. Don't think he'll be back here.

They have a new manager too so I imagine he'll get a chance to stake his claim in pre-season. If not, there'll be plenty of League One/Two clubs interested him. Sadly don't think we stand a chance of seeing him in a Southend shirt again.

150K would be a steal. He's still very young and still learning the game. He has pace and power that defenders hate. He just needs games to improve other aspects of his game. I predict he will be worth over a £Million in 3 seasons time.

The reality is that in L2 last year he was

Had Luton stayed in The Championship probably he would have been let go as the jump is huge. Now Luton are in L1 they may view it differently for a year.
Irrrespective of whether they intend to keep someone a club will move them as far up the pyramid they canas that drives up their value.
Its also the huge risk for us if we loan in our main striker. If he fails we get to keep him, if he scores a hatful he off to the EFL on loan before we know it, if not recalled to the loaning club.

I wouldn't mind a striker rated as not a proper goalscorer if we found one and he scored 18 in 44 games as Davies did for Sutton last year lol.

I think Kev is looking at the squad as opposed to trying to fit players in. Last season he kept using the squad to change games and pretty successfully in my opinion. Whichever starts the game could be subbed off if things are not going well, and the other brought on.

LS is the best for putting this stuff out there. When CP starts putting names out, then it’s usually a “done deal”. LS called everyone of our transfers last season, but also named others we didn’t bring it. Everyone he mentioned was on the infamous whiteboard.

Danny Cashman is a centre-forward and not a midfielder. I'd also argue that he is technically a better player than Mooney was when his stock was highest. I've seen Cashman a few times this season and his movement is sensational. He can drop a little deeper, pick up the ball and drive at the opposition whilst also having the ability to work space in more advanced positions without the ball. He's also an excellent finisher. Go to 1:20 on this highlight video and his goal tells you pretty much what you need to know:
