Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Thread - Summer 2025 Edition.

Transfer news
I’d have taken him a few years ago, but he’s nearly 30 and his goal scoring record of late isn’t amazing. Think we could do much better.

also not released but contract terminated by mutual consent - possible bad apple?

A couple of decent signings showing intent prior to season cards going on sale, would be a smart marketing move by COSU.

After the disappointment of Sunday, we need a little pick me up. Time to grab things by the balls and show we mean business. We are Southend United and we need to flex our sizeable muscle at this level.

One I said towards the back end of the season I hope we go in for. Ryan Hall vibes.

Would be a good addition and give us an option to change systems, if we can pull it off. Probably has suitors higher up the chain however.
We are one of the higher up the chain @Smiffy as most of good local players would love to join us, especially they seem big crowds at RH & away at Rochdale and FGR and at Wembley, they would think “I would love a piece of that”.

Gonna start looking like we are a Dagenham rejects club soon. FYI for the record I would 100% take both Periera and Morias
There’s always gonna be some overlap because both clubs would go for players that are keen to make this part of the country their home for the next couple of years.

At least with them going down we no longer have to compete for the same players. In recent seasons they’ve been the safer option for players to head to too which was a real sign of how bad things had gotten for us.

Thankfully it looks like those days are over for us and just beginning for them lot up the road.

Altrincham have signed Billy Sass-Davies from Hartlepool.

Sam Johnson signs new 2 year deal at Halifax, quality 'keeper at this level.

I'd steer well clear of Marias now, looked like he'd put on timber and done Nothing at Notts Co. causing them to mutually terminate his contract. We've had far too much of players sliding down the hill of their career and signed on reputation alone under the previous owner.

Pierara on the other hand is a different kettle of fish. Looked really good at Daggers last season. Wouldn't say no to him in a Blue shirt next season.

Ryan Hall played his best football aged 22-25. He did very little after age 25.

As Pereira is already 26 and his goals dropped right off after Christmas Ryan Hall vibes would be quite concerning.

In terms of attacking options, I'd like us to be looking at Will Davies (Sutton United), Tyrese Shade (Eastleigh), Danny Cashman (Worthing) and Slavi Spasov (Slough Town). I believe the first three players are out of contract, though I'm not sure about Spasov. I'm pretty sure Cashman is on our radar, no clue about the others or how realistic they'd even be if they were on our target list (merely my viewpoint).

Playing style I was referring to...a proper winger who loves taking players on and has a little trick in the locker. Something we haven't had for a very long time.

Surely go back for pepple or do you think Luton will want him in league 1?
Still think Charlie warren is the one for the left. Kev is going to have to change formation.

Eastleigh Football Club can confirm the retained list following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

The following players remain under contract with the club:

Richard Brindley, Malachi Dotse, Luis Fernandez, Niall Maher, Paul McCallum and Tyrese Shade
