It's almost certainly one or the other, I can't see us carrying more than 5 strikers and we already have Spasov, Kendall, Hopper & Walker. Alexander looks like a quality goal scorer, he'd be a great pickup to round out the forward group.

We definitely need at least one more CB, potentially two if we're persisting with a back five. Francillette would be a phenomenal addition as the central CB with Taylor & Ralph/Gubbins on either side. In an ideal world we bring Goodliffe back as additional depth but that might be a tad greedy.

We're in a much better spot than last year though, a CB or two & a ST rounds out the squad pretty nicely.

Austin won’t play at LB through, that is Ralph job.

Need a left footed LWB. can see Austin being an Atkinson kind of midfielder for us
 
Don't know if he's been mentioned or not and what the feeling would be, but with all the signings York are making and the fact he was loaned out to ebsfleet towards the end of the season, wonder if Tyler Cordner could be a potential signing or a look at

I like that

It does feel stronger but maybe not quite strong enough for outright winners

Im slightly worried that Bridge, Husin, Miley , Coker and Gus may not be able to continue to show past peak performances, especially if featuring regularly. We got to the final, but can we do it again or is a bit of a drop away more likely without more strengthening. How they sustained it has been amazing

Next few weeks crucial as we are still one injury and or a red card away away from not being able to field a full bench

Pleased to see Kevs comments though about recognising that and the plan to bring in more, preferably for pre season
 
So many fans still thinking we play with a RB and LB

Our main formation is RWB and LWB

LCP is neither of those, we need someone on the left to replace/rotate with Bridge. We then have Austin who can cover each flank again.

Very rarely do we play with traditional fullbacks, but when we do, we have enough cover. Going forward down the left was a huge weakness last season. Give Bridge some competition and I reckon we will see the best of him again

There's a decent NL player in Cordner, clearly made the wrong move going to York and has gone backwards after an impressive season at Aldershot. Season long loan at Ebbsfleet seemingly hampered by injury. Don't see us being interested but maybe Eastleigh will take a punt if Francillette moves on.

Yes we are short on centre backs at present, Flanagan hasn’t signed a new deal yet and Kelleher has left to go back home to his home town club of Cork City. The rumour was Robbie had cut the budget due to being in the process of selling the club, that deal has fallen through now so he may put a bit more cash into the club for this season. Ben Goodliffe is back with the squad looking settled and happy doing pre season stuff so it looks like he is staying unless he asks for a move. Of course it will depend on who the Cowley's bring in and if they see Ben as a long term squad member, it could go either way!

I don’t think either of the CCBs would be happy as a squad player. I think it’s one or the other personally.
