Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Thread - Summer 2025 Edition.

Transfer news
You wouldn’t target them at all if you just wanted a solid season.

You wouldn’t open dialogue with both players and agents. You wouldn’t discuss terms, you would start doing DD for the players.

Agreed, you need to bring them in, but why waste you time if you just want a solid season?
As I used the term solid season and you’ve used it twice in that post so I assume that’s aimed at me. I think we will get 10 to 20 points more next season than this and that we will be a solid play off team rather than scraping in at the 11th hour and that will be a solid season. That’s fine and I accept that but my point is that our transfer policy isn’t the one that got Barnet, Chesterfield, Stockport, Notts County or Wrexham out of this league. It might have worked once. If sustainability is the name of the game then fine. We can have a bit of fun and cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Mmm, I agree balls into the box were poor on many occasions but I don’t think it’s the biggest issue with our goal output. Need more variety and quality in our all round attacking play to create space. Like the ability of a CB to break the game line and change the state of play.
We virtually never see a player in this league, including our own ,drive to the edge of the box and shoot at goal. Are they incapable?

Walker did at Wembley. The only issue was the shot was poor. I wonder how many times he's replayed that in his head since.
Agreed but his recent scoring record suggests that the ‘poor’ shot is the norm compared to his other run and shot in to the bottom corner being the exception
