Embargo lifted or emergency players?

Let’s give people a reminder of what I’ve said before.

The National League gave us permission, ahead of the Bromley game, to add a player. We had two players at EFL clubs turn us down on loan, and numerous loan offers rejected by Clubs. Levi, who signed for Bromley wasn’t the one that was mentioned at the Shrimpers Trust AGM. So, if the embargo remains, we are allowed to bring in a loanee or a player who is unattached, but we can’t sign anyone for a fee, regardless of what that fee is.

However, if the embargo is removed, obviously we can pay money for players, bring in loanees and sign unattached players.

Well, the interview JS gave ahead of the Chesterfield match suggested 3 almost straight away. However, one of those players isn’t available anymore, so things have changed.

From the list that @londonshrimper. Put on here previously, I know of only one of those names that isn’t on the whiteboard.

Time will tell.

That interview mentioned by BW - JS said that incoming players need to be done carefully so as to not upset current team spirit etc - suggested 4 or 5 between now and end of season - rather than all at once

I think any talk of the embargo being lifted as of now is premature however. Keep the champers in the fridge.
