Transfer news
I know it’s all about opinions but people suggesting we get rid of Bridge, Husin, Miley all in one hit .. can’t say I agree with that. We need players who know the club, know the style of play and can help with the transition.. keeping a bit of consistency going while we build a fresh squad who’ll need time to adjust and get up to speed. Yes they might play less of a part but let’s not be too hasty. On form, all 3 can be an asset still.

I'm perhaps being a bit harsh on a couple here, but IMO the following (based on this season) would struggle to hold down a regular starting XI spot in a team genuinely going for promotion. That's not to say any of these wouldn't make useful squad players, or perhaps could turn things around over the summer.

Crowther
Gubbins
Noor
Bridge
Miley
Wood
Waldron
Walker
Hopper
Agree about all the rest but need to remind you that Husin is an extremely good player ,if used correctly, and Waldron might also be,if used at all !

You’ve been kind to be fair mate. There isn’t too many worth keeping.

Keeps would be:
Hayes
Colin (as back up)
Taylor
Ralph
Gus
Parillion

Anyone else not that fussed about if they stayed or went.

Wood, Waldron and Bonne to all depart on expiry of their contracts.
Kev will look to keep both Bridge and Ralph.
I'd be looking to move on Gubbins and Crowther and KAF.
Perhaps slightly unfair on KAF after a good performance on Tuesday, but I feel there's a need to make room for someone of better quality in that area of the pitch of we're to challenge for the top spots.
Kev's barely given him a sniff this season so I don't believe he's convinced he's going to be pushing for a starting spot either.
Of those still under contract, I want to be seeing a big improvement from Walker and more consistency from Husin.
Ollie Coker too needs a big season next year. His performance levels have fallen off a cliff during the second half of this season.
One of the most important signings for me will be who will be bought in to compete with Jack Bridge. We're desperate for someone with decent pace who can cross the ball without hesitation. Whoever plays up front needs to be fed with early crosses into the box which they can attack.

Love this, in a nutshell exactly what is needed!

How many true goalscorers are there in football and who are they?

If 20 goals a season is this all important amount, how many have scored 20+ goals in a season for two different clubs NL and above?

Paul Mullin is one having done it for Cambridge and Wrexham. He’s scored 3 league goals this season in 26 appearances.

Macaualey Langstaff misses the cut as he’s only scored prolifically at NL level or above for Notts County. He’s got 1 goal this season for Millwall.

Paul McCullum was touted as another (although he’s only ever scored 20 with Eastleigh). He’s got one league goal since September.

Andy Dallas has scored 20 goals in a season once. This season he has 5 league goals and it’s March. That’s one more than Oli Coker has from midfield and Coker has been benched.
I agree there is a massive shortage of strikers all over. Even at the top level.

We used to have so many. Football has changed and not for the better in my opinion

My keeps would be:

Bonne (he out thinks most of our players so would need somone on his level and experience as a running mate)
Collin
Hayes
Golding
Goodliffe
Ralph
Parillion (prospect)
Morton
Miley (backup for Morton)
Kendall (prospect)
Taylor
Hussin

I don't think the others would cut it in the division above, are over the hill or too injury prone. My opinion is that to get promoted you need players who are better than this league.

Gus/Wind?

He was limited but that season was 7+/10 almost every week. We don't have one player with that consistency this season. Our back line has been littered with individual errors. Che was far better than that. I get your point though.
Exactly, Che rarely made an error, was mobile, decent in the air, strong in the tackle and used the ball well. Limited in an attacking sense granted but a really good player for us.

I don't think @Yorkshire Blue was suggesting he was a bad player for us, but simply using him as an example that not every player has to be from the league above in order for the team to gain promotion.
