was it also extra busy cos it was the last game of the season? or was it solely down to the bbq? do u reckon....it did seem to quieten down after an initial rush although it might not have seemed like that if u were working behind the bar...

a sterling effort by the lads and ladies at the pub tho....well done...

A bit of both, the last game is always busy but we "invited" many more people through the Zone, probably about an additional 60 Zoners so it was much busier than normal--- shame they can't get the staff---- everyone was working longer and a bloody site harder than normal and we still had a couple of people moaning about the wait to be served. I was more upset that I had to stand and just pour beer for 2 hours before the match and hardly had chance to speak to anyone.

I had at least 5 or 6, think Aberdeen did too.
Samantha was none too impressed with it though!

Oh well, shame if it can't be a once or twice a season thing but then again you know what it's like from the other side of the fence! Could you not do a bottles only (e.g. Bud/Bulmers etc) separate service outside near where the BBQ was to maybe lessen the peak-time queues?

Yeah I know that, but you can still pour them in plastic glasses though.
This is an approach a venue I go & see a lot of bands in has started using (they do bottles of Bud, cider & cans of Guinness) to cut down on the waiting time at the actual main bar. They pour it into plastic & away you go! Oh & if you've got a cheery friendly Diageo sales rep you can also get Smirnoff Ice in plastic bottles!

Something to put on the back burner until end of June when the fixtures come out!

A_S took the pics on a proper camera rather than his phone so will come out in a good detail. He also had a vid camera but i dont recall him using it....atleast not while i was there....
