Firestorm and I are about that weekend so count us in.

We had a great time last night, meeting up again with some (was good to see Glasgow Shrimper) and meeting some new folks.

As for name badges next time it makes it much more fun having people drag someone out of a decent conversation to be introduced!

Though of course it was easy to recognise hisself as he was wearing a bright yellow jacket with 'Firesrorm' written all over it and he couldn't resist messing about on the bike outside the pub either.

Had a marvellous time yesterday, both pre-match & at the BBQ too.
Great to finally meet a whole number of legends from here although there are still 2 or 3 posters I am eager to track down. Also, goes without saying it was also good to catch up with a number of the usual suspects who I'd already met at various games around the country before too. Special mentions to BAG, Stereoscene, Callan (& Mrs) and Canvey for keeping me entertained throughout the evening too (particularly Canvey's double-act with Firestorm about days of yore!)

Been in the door about 90 minutes from my journey home, a total faff of a day. Got dropped off by MK at Stansted at 10am (flight wasn't until half 3) so sat in the sun listening to some tunes and reading my book & All at Sea. Landed back in Edinburgh early but then had issues with trains back across this side of the country. Missed my train back to Glasgow by a couple of minutes & so had to wait half an hour then that one was 2 minutes late & I missed my connecting local train back to the outskirts of the city by a matter of seconds and so had to kill another hour before my next one!

I'd love for SZ & The Spread to organise another one of these days, first and last home game each season maybe should become tradition?

No hangover mate? Seem to have your number in my phone??

Nope, no hangover today (I hardly mixed my drinks unlike in Liverpool last weekend when I was decidedly ropey on the journey home).

Yes, you gave me your number, in case you ever find yourself up this neck of the woods, remember? What happened about the wallet?

Did you hurt the bottle of Spicy Rum ?
Not sure of how regular we could do this as it's bloody hard work for a few people, the busier the pub the more grief for the staff.

Never found, given up as a lost cause!!

See the thread in the pub ;)

was it also extra busy cos it was the last game of the season? or was it solely down to the bbq? do u reckon....it did seem to quieten down after an initial rush although it might not have seemed like that if u were working behind the bar...

a sterling effort by the lads and ladies at the pub tho....well done...

Hey you were getting paid for being there. I wonder what the bar take was..the pub ran out of glasses in the first session, let alone the party....It was nice to see the whole place packed.

I do feel a First game of the season Party next year is a top idea.

I had at least 5 or 6, think Aberdeen did too.
Samantha was none too impressed with it though!

Oh well, shame if it can't be a once or twice a season thing but then again you know what it's like from the other side of the fence! Could you not do a bottles only (e.g. Bud/Bulmers etc) separate service outside near where the BBQ was to maybe lessen the peak-time queues?

John, I'd also like to get involved in organising a SZ awayday/weekend next season too like we initially had planned for Bournemouth?

Something to put on the back burner until end of June when the fixtures come out!
