Fines after the Derby

Does anybody have any idea what the fines might be and what for after the Derby? I know the smoke bomb, anything else?

The police filming people is a deterrent as people are more likely to think twice before causing trouble. What could would the handful of police done otherwise? The problem was that they didn't have enough numbers, and whoever was in charge of that should rethink strategy.

The comment about the bloke on the pitch taking the flak away from col u fans and giving it to us is spot on

Firstly this game should have KO at 12ish !

Secondly the stewards should have been a proper mob able to deal with any trouble!

Thirdly the blues fan who did the deed will pay the price in full!

I think a 1 o'clock kick-off would have been sensible, I was surprised the away game was a 3 o'clock ko aswell tbh.

The stewards were hung out to dry basically, once col ewe started getting a bit lairy after the sending-off they should have some help.

No-one has come out of this covered in glory.

What a legend the guy will become. Charging the Col Ewe with fist primed. From where I sit in the East Stand it was a site to behold.

Part of me was glad it happened. Reminded me of the days of old when anything could go down at anytime. Roots Hall is our turf. Col Ewe were fighting with the stewards, our lone punchman had had enough, so he springs from his seat, premeditation engrained in his body language. Wallop. Take that you northern rabble. And then, when the Col Ewe go after Bolger, what appears to be the same man again, leaps out of the west stand, defends his player, and upholds the honour of the club. Had I been over there and seen an attack on one of our players, I may well of weighed in too. Of course part of me wishes the trouble had never happened. But part of me thought - go on my son!

Are you deranged, perchance?

I enjoy not being banned thanks :)

But you support the actions of others that do result in bans....

Sounds like you're not a very rave person at all.... One of those that stands at the back of situations like these without having the bottle to be part of something

You wouldn't have survived on the terraces in the "good old days"

You don't half make me laugh today... You've made my Sunday :hilarious::smile:

Yeah. Read the rest of my comment Andy.

Yep, Bazza, fair comment and I've lifted it out of context, which Isn't fair.

My point, I think, is that police filming is not a deterrent in the spur of the moment as I doubt old matey boy would have had that on his mind as he leapt over the wall, but a barking police dog and/or astrong police presence would have made him think twice.

We all know that David Icke is deranged, what with alien lizards ruling the world etc. But his recent post is madder still. What sort of mentality thinks it's right for a bloke to punch another and send him to hospital for anything, let alone a football match......?

Indeed he will, a legend in every sense of the world.

Remember that guy who attacked the Col U fans? You know the one who hasn't been to a game ever since after he got banned?

Legend.

I'm sure my opinion is echoed by many. Part of me was glad the Col Ewe got it served back to them. And part of me is a little saddened at what happened. You should have seen what used to go on in the sixties and seventies. Yesterday was nothing in comparison. So some youngsters saw some football agro, so what. So did I when I was a lad, far far worse stuff than yesterday. And so did loads of our supporters who attend to this day. It hasn't put them off supporting us has it.

I would say though that kids shouldn't be sat in close proximity to our more lively supporters That was a mistake by the club.

The sight of those two guys single handedly charging the Col Ewe after their antics, will live long in my memory. They defended their club under intense provocation. I'd buy them a drink. And that is my opinion.

There were three young boys (6 or 7ish) next to me in the West and Dad and Grandad were sitting behind them. The boys saw pretty much all of the bad stuff. Dad said to them all 'that was very naughty wasn't it' and they all agreed it was indeed, very naughty. I thought at the time, 'well done dad'. From the tone of your post you are totally past redemption but thank goodness those little boys have more sense than you as they are our future and you are our past.

Can't see what all the fuss is about, just because one of our fans went over to shake the hands of a few Ewes fans who had been patting the stewards on the back thanking them for their efforts......Seriously we have been here before and for older supporters the memory of standing behind fencing was the result...although that didn't always work (Derby)!.Proper policing costs money and yesterday showed that for big games stewards should not left alone in the hotspot areas. At the end of the day the club will lose out financially either way!

Proof if any was needed that the lunatics have been let out of the asylum

What you should be doing is teaching the young boys that sometimes, when no one else is there to defend you, when coins are raining down, when our stewards are being continually assaulted, when one of our players is assaulted, that enough is enough, and the bully has to be taken down. Col Ewe were the violent aggressive bullies. A couple of our lads stood up to them.

I was at the game with my autistic 9 year old son and trying to explain the fan incident to him is proving quite difficult. I have explained it over and over and my son always responds with same question. "Why?". I don't really have an answer to that question. Some will see the idiot as a hero, but he is clearly a moron. What is the point in doing what he did? Yes, there was clearly some provocation, but surely the best response is to just ignore it and laugh at them instead. However, it seems that this is too hard for some fans as they don't have enough between the ears.

Had the incident occurred out of the blue then I would also label the pair morons. However, this was not the case and so the moron tag should be removed. Sometimes the reality of a situation has to be addressed. Thankfully no one got badly hurt and as a result Uncle Ron will have to pay for the extra policing from now on, which should have been there in the first place. Perhaps the Col Ewe clatterers have done everybody a favour in the long room.

The guy who let the smoke bomb off is a moron.
