As a non-STH , working in London , what's the chances of me being able to phone up and get tickets for the Home leg today ?Are the going to ultra strict on this as not on general sale yet ??I buy for most home games on line ( which they can check ) , but guess that doesn't count in this case.Just trying to save myself time next week.

Well they did ask me if it was for Burton so guess they're being strict at the moment.

This morning there were two of us on the phone and I'd previously emailed the club (so was expecting a call back). I also eventually persuaded my sister in law to join the queue. Rather selfish I know but needs must! Simultaneously I got a call from the club, the sister in law got to the front of the queue and I was number 1 on the phone (not that that meant anything). We nearly ended up with 3 times the tickets we needed.

What on earth was the point in that? Having two of you on the phone doesnt help you and just makes it worse for everyone else.

Sorry but that just adds to the problems without giving you any benefit.

Having been a supporter of this club for many years I have come to understand what bits of it work and what doesn't. I have encountered issues with the phone system on many occasions and chose to overcome it the best way I could. I persuaded my sister in law to go down at 10am when it was obvious the phone system would not work (but I knew that already). But I don't think that two of us on the phone will have made a blind bit of difference to its failings. We chose to pool resources and would have phoned up seperately if we hadn't. As someone who doesn't live in Southend I have been wound up too often whilst holding on the phone at No.1.

However I accept that it appears it was uneccesary overkill and there are still tickets available.

But you will be pleased to know that I will be leaving my home at 6am on Saturday to get in line for the home tickets! No waiting on the phone for me.

Burton Away Ticket Update: Just 300 terraced tickets remain for Sunday's away leg at Burton Albion

Joined phone queue at 12.07 (10 in queue) - all done 12.35. At least they seem to have the phones manned.

Of those 213 mates that you're bringing I make an assumption that not many of them are on Shrimperzone, as I think, in my short tenure that you've argued (aka constructive discussion) with most! :)

Same experience here, from position 11 in 31 mins. Included 11 minutes in position one, so keep the faith!!!!

Can't wait until Sunday now!
