This Saturdays Home Game

Does seem a bit daft holding this one on Saturday and I really cant see why Crewe should be able to dictate it bearing in mind they will still bring sod all down.

I always loved Friday night football and would welcome a game or two then anyway.

Still think we will get around 6,500 for the game.

It's a real pain in the bottom for me to get to the Hall for Friday night matches but even so I would still MUCH prefer the club to either switch to Friday night or stick to 3 o'clock . The One o'clock ko v Gills was weird and the 'atmosphere' was rubbish .

BTW had to return two tickets as I was due to bring 2 guests who can't now make the earlier k o time . So that's £40 plus consumables that the club have lost for a start .

Crap decision whoever's it was .

I too am ****ed off as I had tickets for England which I have sold to my boss.

Bloody Crewe - They are hardly likely to bring any fans down and yet this stops most of us watching the game...

A fancy dress party at 1pm? Unusual to say the least!

My problem is I do not know when to stop or slow down …. Southend then the England game… I will be ****ed out my head… then turn up at party get a silly premiership supporting bloke to say the wrong thing to me … ie laugh abt me supporting my local club.. then I kick it off.. last thing I need at a Party in Basildon .lol prob get a right kicking…

Hence an Alcohol ban till 7 o’clock placed by the boss.lol

I understand we wanted to play the game on Friday or Sunday, but Crewe declined both.

It's annoying as I can't do both the SUFC game and the England game, it's also a little strange that this England Qualifier is 3pm when the others (Andorra, Macedonia and Israel) have been 5pm. But hey, ho!

As I haven't missed an England home game for a few years now, I'm going to go to Wembley on Saturday. It was a tough choice!

Part time supporter.:D :D :D

See you at Norwich on the 29th:D

i wont be there saturday either as i have tickets for england!

i reckon bout 6,000 saturday as crewe will bring hardly any down probably less than tranmere.

i dont like missing southend games but i think i make up for it by going to quite a few away games!

I was thinking that too.

Why not come to the game in your fancy dress outfit and then go straight to the party ? You know you want to WickfordShrimper. And bring the Missus in her Xena Warrior Princess outfit too. We wont look, honest !!! ;) ;)

Dammit, that's what I was wearing as well.... oh well, it's the Chewbacca suit again.... :(

Not fussed about the England game, after all it's only those world super powers Estonia! I will watch it in the pub when I get back from RH.

I really struggle to watch tinned (TV) football & would watch SUFC over anything on the box. I'm pleased that the Rugby won't class though!!

You can sticky the England footie up yer jacksie. No interest whatsoever in supporting a system that throws all the money at the top trickling down a meagre ration to clubs like ours and others in a similar or worse position. 5% of what is thrown out to the Premiership would keep the bottom two divisions afloat comfortably.

You can stick the bloody rugby right up yer jacks (where have all these so-called experts come from all of a sudden). Union is a wooftas game, played by toffs, watched by toffs and not a patch on the original professional code.

You can also stick the grand prix further up yer 'arris. Why not just make life easy and see which constructer has the highest sponsorship backing ? Save lots of time and money in the process. I can't think of anything more boring than watching a Grand Prix.

Only one place I want to be on Saturday and I'd be just as happy with a 3pm ko. If the fly by nights choose to do other things no skin off of my nose. (not a dig at those with holiday/work commitments).

I am going to the England game. Thats the 2nd Southend home game im going to miss this season because they cant change the fixtures. Sort it out.

bollox to england, if given the option of southend or england then it very easy choice southend every time, club before country and by the way if someone offered me the option of england winning the world cup or southend winning the league then the blues would have another trophy for the cabinet, I mean shelf

i'd take Southend success over England success every time. I still think playing for England should be a privilege and players shouldn't get paid for playing for their country. It should be an honour and one you would want to do for free.

I like to see England do well, but the fortunes of Southend are far more important to me than success for the national side.

Sorry mate. You are right. See you against Crewe.
