I got my Tickets 4 Sats game last week, and now told by the G/F we going to a fancy bloody dress party.. Looks like i am going to have to give the Red Card to footie.. gutted cos SUFC need my n Our Support 110% this season

I know Trueblue said he heard it was down to Crewe not wanting too ??

Why will they be taking over 1000 fans at the match well I will be suprised if they have 150 at the Hall

Saturday game sadly WILL dip below the 7000 mark.... early K/O etc... England playing Rugby and Football...... it bloody silly/stupid not to playing on Friday niight

I LOVE FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AT ROOTS HALL

SO Please SUFC move it to Friday night.. NOW !!

It's far too late for them to move it now, and if Crewe didn't agree to it before the season started they'll never agree to it now.
I like Friday night footy as well, shame we haven't got any Friday games this year.

Yep a strange decision indeed. Crowd will be lucky to break 6,000 mark i reckon.

This IS a Crewe decision, nothing the club can do to turn it around. We managed to get them to change it to 1pm, as they were originally intransigent, and were insisting on 3pm.

Like Smiffy I think we are in for a 5,800 crowd.

I hope the crowds more than 6000, but I don't hold out much hope - I know of quite a few people who aren't going but normally would.

I understand we wanted to play the game on Friday or Sunday, but Crewe declined both.

It's annoying as I can't do both the SUFC game and the England game, it's also a little strange that this England Qualifier is 3pm when the others (Andorra, Macedonia and Israel) have been 5pm. But hey, ho!

As I haven't missed an England home game for a few years now, I'm going to go to Wembley on Saturday. It was a tough choice!

Yes, very late in the day to change it now seeing as I can't make Friday and have spent my hard-earned on a ticket.

TBH not really bothered about England football rather watch the Rugby.

This is a shame. I love Friday night footie at the Hall and this was a good chance for it to happen.

We'll just have to batter Crewe 5-0 as punishment.

It's annoying as I gave up a ticket for Wembley to make this game. Friday or Sunday would have made much more sense. I suppose it wasn't in Crewe's interests to move it for us to get a bigger crowd. I hope we tank them.

This could well be our lowest home crowd of the season. It's a shame that we have had 2 home games on the same day England are playing.

The Gillingham crowd was 7,348 of which 750 were away fans. So for the Crewe game this Saturday we might get just get a crowd of over 6,000.

In these cases the home clubs should be given permission to change the fixture to the Friday or the Sunday without having to ask the away team.

Shows how far we've come though when we're talking about the crowd dropping to "just" 6,000. Five or six years ago that would be a very good attendence.

At the equivalent stage in out 05-06 promotion season 6,000 would have been a decent crowd! When we played Tranmere that year we only got 5,700-ish (IIRC) - this season we got 7,600.

Would it be worth the club hiring a big screen to show the England game?

I suspect it would take too long to assemble, but otherwise it could be a great marketing ploy to draw in more football fans.
