From my previous, initial message on the subject, many of you will know that i'm a friend of Geoffs wife Sarah, so i won't try and hide the fact. I thought that some people may be interested to know that the new p.a guy is, in fact, the best mate and drinking pal of Carl Bailey, who got Geoff fired.

It was Geoffs first visit to a home game on Saturday since being 'removed' and he recognised him straight away. Talk about rub salt in the wounds. The whole thing stinks in my book.

On the upside - GREAT WIN!!

Indeed, this new guys a tit. Repeating what's already been said I know. His voice is seriously making want to break something! The little gathering where I am in the Greens feel the same, and if he carries on 'over trying' by screaming the end of every name or sentence in this warbling out of tune singer type tune I am going to forced to steal his microphone and throw it on the roof of one of the stands.

If you're reading this thread though, Geoff, it was nice to see you there as a fan on Sunday. Would've introduced myself but I came over all shy.

The new bloke doesn't seem to know his stuff either, Jeff always used to pick up on things like how many goals a player had scored this season and if someone was making their debut.

the new guy is embarrassing, agreed. i cant get to many games cos of work but he still really really annoys me. by the time the game comes around im just pleased for the silence, which is bad as you want noise and atmosphere (obviously)

on the original post about the scam half time challenge, wouldnt they come through the tunnel as thats where you are directed once youve one? ive never seen anyone jump over the barricade even in the east stand. and its not a scam ive seen people win all over the stadium.

Once again - having had this thread brought to my attention, I can only thank everyone for their continued comments and support. It is really appreciated and i'm genuinely pleased that I was able to add something to peoples matchdays during my 8 seasons at Roots Hall. (At least for most of you anyway).

Seeing that the new guy is, indeed, the best friend and drinking partner of Carl Bailey doesn't surprise me in the least... but then nothing does at the moment.

Here's to another 3 on Saturday!!

Thats down to the printers not the club, I would imagine that the club noticed and duly complained....
