Not cause of what you have to do, but who takes part.

I've said it since god knows when that you couldn't be blamed for thinking it was a fix on who wins the prize to shoot for the car, and yes they always seem to come from the east stand and from one of the hospitality boxes.

It makes me chuckle how they always seem to head back over to the east stand via the players tunnel, back to the waiting prawn sandwiches. It also seems funny how mostly all of them are in smart attire and not in jeans and in a SUFC shirt!! Alarm bells are ringing!!! And would the bluebells sell the tickets to forest fans outside the north bank?? Well a forest fan did take part with his chavs did he not on sunday!!

I stopped buying the tickets ages ago when i figured something was amiss, it's shocking i think.

When did you see the last genuine fan take part in the competition?? When did you see someone walk out from the West or South stands to take part??
You really have not got a clue!

I would be extremely surprised if the majority of sales did not come from the Executive Boxes.  Your all in a very small room so when the Blue Belles come in you are kind of in the corner to buy a ticket.  Plus the fact on average most of the guys in the Executive boxes have more wealth than the average fan and buy more than one ticket hence increasing their chances over you who buys only £1's worth!!

And on another last picky note where you are wrong again - You get an escort round to the tunnel from the stand your in so you won't see what stand they are from!  And it's the same when you return to your seat having to go to the East Stand tunnel for the escort back round.

Example - Jamal Campbell-RYYYYCEEEEEEEEEE sounds like a total t%$&*r
But hey another **** up from the club but like the online ticket situation or why the online shop is in lymbo when people want to buy things or why the club dont open 2 hours before kick off like it is suppose to and leave me standing outside for 20 mins.
DISGRACE!

as for the playing side top notch! well done lads!

The bloke is terrible!
The bloke seems to equate shouting with excitement. That is the difference between someone who know's what he is doing and someone that doesn't.

Jeff mamanged to create excitement without shouting. This guy sounds like he is shouting plain and simple. There is no expression in his voice, and doesn't even sound excited.

Frankly I find him embarrasing.

If we have to have him he should be trained.
yeah he did. don't you remember that awful shirt that he wore in the photo.

The new bloke doesn't seem to know his stuff either, Jeff always used to pick up on things like how many goals a player had scored this season and if someone was making their debut.

I always thought Jeff loved himself a bit but would be so glad to see him back now. This new bloke sounds like he has been brought back from the dead.

yeah the middle 10 or so of my pages came away as well. Saying that though think the programme has been a big improvement and is surely one of the best around. Think a proof read would be good as have been a few errors if I am being picky!

Oh, I see, you're not a genuine fan if you sit in the East Stand. My guess is that West and South Stand fans are too poor to buy a ticket
tounge.gif
.

Seriously, I usually buy a ticket but only because it's a good luck charm - we always win when I buy one. However, my ticket number is always 1,000s out from the winner which is a bit suspicious. Given they only sell 300 or so you would have thought I'd have been drawn out at some point over the last 5 years (I'm not interested in the car - give me the cash).

On the PA announcer, yes, bring back Jeff (in fact anyone would be better than the current guy).

Didn't JeffA have his own column in the programme a couple of seasons ago? "Taking the Mic'" or something?

I actually read the whole programme last night (mainly because the wife was reading and I can't get to sleep with the light on, but that's a different story!) and when I finshed I tried to think back to the last time I did that. As it happens it was last week with the previous programme! Before that, however, it was many season's ago.

It's probably partly to do with the fact that we're riding high at the moment, but it's mostly to do with the quality. When they first put the price up to £3 I thought it was bit of a cheek, but it is so good I am prepared to pay it.

A big well done to all who contribute. Also I know I am going to get ridiculed on here for this, but Matt, I particularly enjoy your articles. And guess what, i've only met Matt once many years ago, so at least no-one can accuse me of bigging up a fellow clique member!

My mate Dan won the money a bout a season ago. Best part of £200 quid it was too...

And he gave me £40 to get p%&sed on.....Top Boy

The last person to do the half time challenge was a Forest fan, so I assume he was in the North Bank, not the East.

However i'd say there is more chance of an East stand fan getting the winning ticket due to how many girls in the car park are trying to sell tickets to us as we go in.
Don't know what its like round the West entrance but would I be right to assume that there is maybe 2 girls selling the tickets, just due to the limited space compared to the main entrance to the ground.

On the point of the announcer I don't personally like his style, espeically when he reads the teams out, but quite honestly I am there for the football rather than listening to a man read from a script.

Personally I think we should give the new a P.A anouncer a break.

The whole issue is getting rather boring and tedious. Ok everyone loves Jeff and thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread!!

Someone obviously doesn't have a grudge against Jeff.....

Jeff Allen is so good, if he started doing the PA at Layer Road, I'd probably choose to go there for my Saturday's entertainment (in the away end, obviously). Since he has stopped working the mic I've stopped enjoying games. The atmosphere against Forest was clearly dead without GC building up the the excitement to a crescendo.

I now know why the club have so far refused to issue season tickets - because if us fans actually had any season tickets we'd rip them up and throw them on the pitch in protest at the absence of the man who made match days what they were and what they will never be again.

In fact I think the news of his parting of ways from SUFC is quite possibly the saddest event I can recall since the passing of Elizabeth I, our beloved Queen Mother.
