Kind of you to take the trouble, Hank.I just had a very helpful reply to my post asking about parking for us driving to the game… see the post below
Hi. I saw your post re parking and Tesco is your best bet. You will need to allow extra time to get round our big roundabout on the outskirts of town due to the holiday traffic. I assume you will come up the A10.
Take the first left when you have come under the flyover and there is a dedicated lane on the nearside to take you along to Tesco.
Park at the far end of the carpark near the McDonalds and walk over the railway bridge having crossed the road at the lights.
Walk past a caravan park and the cemetery and turn right into Beech Road which is a shortcut for you.
At the end of Beech Rd turn right onto Vancouver Ave and follow round for about half a mile to the ground.
It will take you 15 mins as I used to walk that way from a bus stop.
I hope you enjoy the trip and that our arrangements are adequate on the day. Don't bother with food at the ground though cos it is poor.
There is also a KFC opposite McDonalds if that takes your fancy.
Feel free to pass these details on to any one else who is driving up with a warning that parking near the ground will be very difficult indeed.
Lynn fan coming in peace. We as fans are excited about getting back to watching some football back at The Walks.
What expectations do you guys have for the season? For us it’s all about survival at this level. It is all quite new to us. Of course we would like to stick it too one or two of the big boys in this League.
How will your fans react to PB if we start by turning you over? Half time team talk on the pitch time ?
Welcome to the Zone @Paul 47. Expectations are tricky things, we would love to think that we will smash this league, after all we are the mighty Shrimpers, but after three diabolical seasons of watching total bollocks, the reality of life is that we will settle for stability and a sniff at the play-offs.Lynn fan coming in peace. Thanks for the lowdown Bobthelinnet, whats the town like for parking? Your web site suggests the multi story, is it big enough for the anticipated gate you're expecting?Linnet here in peace. First of all shocked by the amount of tickets you lot have shifted..amazing Those spouting there maybe trouble will just be fighting with plod..they will be in force.. one of your lot even wrote King's Lynn have a firm that turn up 10 mins into every game.. Thanks for that. Made me giggle.i have been going for 30 years and hav nt seen our firm yet.. .the ground is 2 minutes from the train station, 3 minutes from bus station. 5 minutes from town centre.. We had a similar crowd against York before lockdown, so my advice is avoid town centre pubs as they will be packed to the rafters and you will q for ale.. I suggest St James St.. 5 mins walk from stadium. White Hart (don't smash it up, it's my local) and the wenns. Both good beer. Don't expect beer or food in the ground.. U will be ripped off.. Also u won't outnumber the home fans, this is big for us, despite our rip off chairman there will be 3k home supporters. For a small town its our biggest league game for 60 years. As for shrimpers buying tickets in home sections, our chairman is greedy, you will get more tickets. We are boxing well above our weight and very badly run, but u will have a great day I'm sure..
Ive paid for car parking at the ground. What’s that gonna be like generally? Easy to get in and out of?Linnet here in peace. Tears of joy are things to be savoured, not wiped away.In a word no. In the season we went up, our biggest gate was York City (4,000 plus). Tennyson Ave was gridlock with cars being parked just anywhere and having to be towed. I would suggest an early arrival, park up, then walk Into the Town for Food Drink and of course Tissues ( needed later to dry up those tears ?)
That's normally saved for the official match thread.....Page 3 and nowones said it?
