I doubt Coulson will be ready to start given his limited pre season minutes, would assume a starting 11 the same as what we saw vs Norwich.
We have our own rip off chairman, maybe they can compare notes & plansLinnet here in peace. First of all shocked by the amount of tickets you lot have shifted..amazing Those spouting there maybe trouble will just be fighting with plod..they will be in force.. one of your lot even wrote King's Lynn have a firm that turn up 10 mins into every game.. Thanks for that. Made me giggle.i have been going for 30 years and hav nt seen our firm yet.. .the ground is 2 minutes from the train station, 3 minutes from bus station. 5 minutes from town centre.. We had a similar crowd against York before lockdown, so my advice is avoid town centre pubs as they will be packed to the rafters and you will q for ale.. I suggest St James St.. 5 mins walk from stadium. White Hart (don't smash it up, it's my local) and the wenns. Both good beer. Don't expect beer or food in the ground.. U will be ripped off.. Also u won't outnumber the home fans, this is big for us, despite our rip off chairman there will be 3k home supporters. For a small town its our biggest league game for 60 years. As for shrimpers buying tickets in home sections, our chairman is greedy, you will get more tickets. We are boxing well above our weight and very badly run, but u will have a great day I'm sure..
We did not look underprepared at all v Norwich. Unless anything changes that will be at least 9 of the team that starts.Worrying that most of the obvious choices have got so few minutes of playing time under their belts at this late stage. It really does make you wonder what is going on behind the scenes as we look to be unprepared for the kick off yet again..
Good Morning, do you know if we can park in the station car park, I am coming in my van and doesn’t fit in any multi story car parks as previously advised, Thanks in advanceLinnet here in peace. Excellent post Bob. It is also a big game for us. Not only a new ground tick but our first away day for 18 months.Linnet here in peace. We don't really. Just compare our season ticket prices to those of Kings Lynn. We have a chairman who is woeful at running a football club but tried to do it all for too long. He's also delusional at times, makes poor decisions and is creative with the truth. All in my personal opinion. We have our own rip off chairman, maybe they can compare notes & plans
And our first non-league fixture in 101 years!Excellent post Bob. It is also a big game for us. Not only a new ground tick but our first away day for 18 months.
Plenty of Shrimpers be in town early on as we like to catch the early trains but don't worry we are not the ICF or 657 crew. They are more interested in real ale so any recommendations will be appreciated. I'm sure it will be a great day for both sets of fans, with a narrow win for us of course.
And our first non-league fixture in 101 years!
Why? Unlike you, the rest of us don't know what that's like.Definitely not something to celebrate.![]()
If the opening day results of the last seven relegated League Two sides is anything to go by, this doesn't bode well.
Barnet were the only side to scrape a 0-0 draw.
Five of the rest lost: Hartlepool, Orient, Yeovil, Notts Co and Chesterfield - and Macclesfield never got started, as we know.
Notts were beaten 1-0 by Eastleigh in 2019, watched by 3,000 of their supporters in contrast to the 900 home supporters.
There is plenty of incentive to knock over the 'big boys' from the Ellie. All due respect to kings Lynn. They are punching well above their weight and are expecting a very tough season to avoid relegation.
As poor as we have been, I'd expect us to be going for 3 points and would be dissapointed with a draw.
In many repects, King's Lynn away wouldn't have been my ideal choice as an opening fixture. If we win, some will start getting exaggerated expectations about walking this league, whilst, if we lose, all sorts of alarm bells will start ringing! With no disrespect to KL, I'd have prefered to face a stronger side, even if the result didn't end up exactly as we would have wished. If the opening day results of the last seven relegated League Two sides is anything to go by, this doesn't bode well.

Don't we face Wealdstone away after our first home game?To be fair, after King’s Lynn we then face back to back home games vs the two teams that seem to be tipped heavily for promotion. With that said, 3 points is a must as I don’t see us taking maximum points from our first two home games.
Yes bank holiday Monday!Don't we face Wealdstone away after our first home game?
Don't we face Wealdstone away after our first home game?
Based on what I saw on Tuesday night I'd go with the following:
Arnold Hobson Coulson Ralph Phillips Ogogo Demetriou Dunne Bridge Dalby Murphy
I feel that the midfield three can easily rotate their positions and help each other out as the game goes on.
The likes of Egbri, Rush & hopefully Dennis to come off the bench later in the game.
Unless things go terribly wrong, we need to give the sqaud at least 6 games before we start coming to conclusions about the season - in the old days, the leagues weren't even published to start with as "common sense" said that the early games can be a lottery & are not always indicative of how the season pans out ..........
............. on the other hand, just thinking about our first few games last season .......![]()
