When do you think the embargo will be cleared?

The Time to Pay agreement is made specifically for companies that fail to pay their bills on time. Otherwise, what would be the point in it?

See 266.

It's to help companies that are honest, upfront and not persistent non/late payers. Companies like SUFC will more likely be taken to court to force full payment. After all, what's the point of a payment plan on one bill when you have low confidence the next will be paid?

I haven't taken one penny from Southend United to date.
If this is actually Stan then could I just say that whilst I appreciate you have stepped away from communicating on this forum I think if you read through the many posts on here you will see that many would wholeheartedly appreciate some form of official communication around this from the club and the steps that will be taken to remediate the embargo. To many this is exactly the type of thing we referred to when we said communication between club and fans is poor.

Welcome to the world of SUFC that has more ups and downs than a ride at Adventure Island. I've just read the 14 pages of this thread and thought it must be a reissue of posts from many, many seasons gone by.

Save your despair and look forward to a lovely Christmas. I hope you all have someone to share it with.

This will be resolved as per normal and a sticking plaster will be put over a severed artery. No matter. We will survive long enough until we can receive a full surgical procedure.

Use the threads productively now and discuss knitting patterns for Blues scarves or dog grooming tips where you can shave KM into a rottweilers chest.

Am I wrong here or is telling us he hasn't taken one penny from the club releasing business information?

His last point about delivering everything promised, is he insane?

The way I read it , up until now no payment has been paid to him regarding his recent work at the club. Secondly it seems he has done all he promised, you cannot blame him if he has been let down by others.

Is Mr Collymore now realising how poisonous it is to be associated with Mr Slippery Martin!
I did try and tell him but he just would not listen.

If there’s ever a time to be transparent, it’s now. The club needs to reassure the fans that there is a active plan in place to pay off the tax bill.
Transparent???? where have you been for the last 20 years? Mr Martin Lies and hides from the truth in his sleep let alone when he is awake.

I'm not, I'm simply stated he would be able to bring in countless amazing players, which hasn't happened. The two players who have come in had nothing to do with him.

Now, before you all bite my head of I have (as usual) no knowledge or insight into absolutely bloody anyway, but…

It’s painfully obvious that the one change we really need is one of ownership. We all know why, so it doesn’t really need debating again here. It’s always felt like the impossible dream though because Ron wouldn’t sell, had complicated the company and asset structure it’s difficult to know what’s what, we have lots of debt, so who the hell would want to buy us? I never bought into that last one by the way.

A couple of things have changed / are about to change (hopefully):

1) Ron is now neck deep with HMRC. They may finally score a win in front of m’lud; and

2) If the SoS doesnt call the plans in this week then we will be able to get full planning permission from the Council.

I don’t think the league we’re in would put buyers off, they would be too sensible for that one would hope. A five year plan to get into League One with all the builds completed and kick on from there. Perfectly achievable and we clearly have a fan base that can be built on, as our amazing fans showed yet again yesterday.

I can honestly see the potential for new ownership far far more than at any times in recent years. I have no idea who, but that’s not a surprise. Me and my mates can’t afford it though you’ll be pleased to know!

Thoughts? Any rumours? Anybody agree with me or see it totally differently?

The embargo is not expected to prevent signings of new players when they are identified and terms agreed ??!!??!??!??

He has according to himself brought the players to the attention of the club etc. How do any of us know what players they are. He has brought them forward to the point of signing off.. What more can he do?

To be fair, I think Stan has known all that for years. His love of SUFC has driven him to intervene anyway and thank god he did. We now have a club which has the people and structures to succeed. We just need to bin off the bellend at the top.

Just to say - can this thread get on topic of the embargo please (and it’s impacts on the team etc).

There is another thread for club ownership chat - any further posts on that subject will be moved over.

I wonder where the three amigos stand on this?
Did Mr Martin inform them at interview that an embargo was coming( he must have Known)
They are now stuck with a squad that the three amigos may just work miracles with to avoid relegation, Then What?

It sounds like a convenient excuse to me. That being said, we'll never know either way.

Such bullsh*t, EVERY other club is existing in the same Covid situation, yet NO OTHER clubs are under an embargo to the best of my knowledge.

Treating us all like mugs again, because I guess mugs we are for still hoping for a better future.

One good thing is that Ron's continued contempt for the HMRC will no doubt be being eagerly recorded by the Prosecution for his upcoming trial
