Question The North Bank and your thoughts?

Currently only 11 home tickets sold in the North Bank for next Tuesdays game v Fylde.
Not one away ticket sold yet. I would be surprised if they bring more than 15.

Put them in east blues and open the whole north bank for home support
Interesting. But no separate access or separation .. East Blues should be opened up for general sale for home fans. Away in NW corner. North bank all home. fans. in the close season move the scoreboard up 10 feet

Last week in traditionally the most expensive month for many, a midweek game, & against a team 3rd from bottom, this will be our lowest home crowd so far this season?.
Lowest so far was 6,359 v Eastleigh, & although we have 4,300 STH ( ? ) who whether they all turn up or not will be shown as attending, so we're need another 2,000 turning up on the night.
With the current apathy etc, i'd be very surprised if we achieved that amount?. As for Flyde, with the distance etc, 15 would be a good turnout from them.

The one thing i really enjoyed about the north bank v Barnet, was that we couldnt hear all the Discussing and groaning around the ground ! So it turned out rather blissful despite the result and performance.
As of today, Thurs, there are only 12 seats taken by Shrimpers for the Tues evening clash with Fylde. Rather suprising that the club's website upon their recent announcement, didnt actually reveal how to book a seat if you are a season th elsewhere in the stands.
I just call the SUFC box office (is it a cinema?? ) and tell them what seats i want and they email me the tickets. Very easy process.
If we win away at Daggers and lose on Tues night, especially if its freezing cold again, i'll be glad of the respite and the fact i'm out of earshot of home fans 😄
Sing up Southend.

Do we need a TBV organised transfer over there for a game?. Get the singing section over there en masse.
Just a thought. Pick a future game and make it a thing.
That's what I said a few games back, otherwise it's not going to work. The original idea was to get the singing under the North Bank, as the noise is much louder coming out of the North Bank, because of the lower roof, and the shape of the roof. So many fans said the singing is not loud enough in the West Stand. So the North Bank was given, but the expected transfer hasn't happened.

It needs to be done properly, start of next season.

Not many people can be bothered to ring up/email/visit the ticket office to transfer a season card from W block or wherever else in the ground to the NB, on a game by game basis. It's just not going to happen midway through a bang average season when everyone is set where they are.

Sell season cards in the NB next season, market it properly, no silly charges or needing to swap game by game. Most of all, make it the cheapest place to sit at Roots Hall, for season cards and match ticket prices. In an ideal world we would have the whole NB as well. Having half of it doesn't feel right and doesn't feel like a "home end"

No we haven't even kicked towards the North Bank in the 2nd half of a match since its been opened this season. It also doesn't feel like a home end when shared with away fans. We are better off staying in W & X Block.

Spot on; give the entire north bank to home fans and advertise it as standing. Then just like at concerts, you’re fully justified to sell those tickets at a much cheaper rate and pack the stand out (just like what Bradford do). The noise would be incredible

I don't think supporters are allowed to be standing these days, though (unless an official safe-standing area with specific seats). The powers that be may turn a blind eye, because it's incredibly difficult to make 500 or so people sit down, but I don't think you could advertise it as such

Was the east stand car park still sectioned off for segregation of fans (all 9 of them)?

They have chosen a start point for that at the point of a cut through meaning that people walking up the hill have to walk up another 100 yards and then back again. Not ideal for the older folk. So this should be better thought through for next season too. Allow for a fork as we enter the car park.

There shouldn’t be standing in the seated areas. It happens but the club is potentially exposed. And people just tend to pretend the issue doesn’t exist… until…

What should happen is safe standing should be installed in the North- that is then the standing area, no standing elsewhere.

Then you would have a full NB

ATM it’s very toe in the water avoiding the main thing that would ensure it’s full.
