If its not positive why not drop it then? The majority support PB,

.... Another way of saying 'not positive' is 'negative'. And as you say a bad thing for next season- so why keeping going with it?

...... objection your honour, that is baseless conjecture !

The majority of those who support him do so because he is our manager and we have achieved a modicum of success thanks to/despite (delete as applicable) him. They would be just as happy with anyone else with a similar record.

You don't necessarily have to be negative if you're not positive and vice versa. A neutral state can exist. For example zero is neither positive nor negative. It is however the number of matches we won out of our last seven League matches. We have never finished a season this badly in the entire League history of the club (although 1998 ran it close).

I hate this type of post, so disrespectful, I hope Hurst gets an offer from a league 1 side and rams those words back down your throat.

I can't work out why Hurst didn't ask to go out on loan unless he was injured a lot this season? He clearly was out of favour with PB and some game time elsewhere would have done him the world of good. He just needed a run of games to get his form back. On his day, he was the best winger we have had here for quite a few years and can easily play in L1 again

Back on topic, well done and thanks to Kevan. He gave us some super moments and showed some real quality. Things have not gone so well for him this season but I hope it's a blip he overcomes and that he finds a new club and shows them what he is capable of.

He had clubs come in wanting to take him on loan but he opted to stay and fight for his place. so it was Kevan's choice I think.

Kevan knew in January he would not be getting a new contract unless he proved himself with us. So a loan would not have been in his interest.

He came on as first sub away at Swindon and looked way off the pace, at one stage he lost a soft tackle 25 yards from their goal and took an age to get back to the half-way line whilst they attacked our goal. I thought that that would be the last time I might see him in a Southend shirt but he has still been given a few chances, without to coin a cliché, pulling up any trees.

Good luck to Mr Hurst you served us well for the first couple of seasons so perhaps a new challenge might be what he needs. However just like Lee Barnard he won't be a player who comes back to haunt anyone at our club.

Those Assets in full :-

Bentley - Won't sign a contract, so f**k him!
White - He's a bit on the old side and slow and was rubbish at Wigan and Rochdale
Coker - Can't take a set-piece and has lost it lately. Always f**ks about with the ball
Barrett - He's too old. My mum could run past him and score a hat-trick
Thompson - Got a head like a 50p piece that useless knacker
Atkinson - Runs around like a headless chicken and can only pass backwards
Deegan - He doesn't tackle, he fouls, he gets yellow cards, he gets suspended, he's more a liability than an asset
Worrall - He doesn't even want to play for us
Payne - Yep, this bloke doesn't either
McLaughlin - Injury prone. Be lucky to get 10 games out of him
Wordsworth - Too inconsistent
Leonard - He's alright actually. Could do with scoring more goals, though
Barnett - Lazy f**ker who hasn't scored for months
Hunt - Don't make me laugh, I mean, seriously
Mooney - Always offside and can't jump properly
Hurst - He's gone hasn't he? .. I read that somewhere
Williams - Too young and inexperienced
Bolger - No-one likes him in the dressing room and he smells
Smith - He's already let in some soft goals. He'll send us down next season, you just watch

Horton - What does he do? I mean, really, seriously
Coughlan - He shouts a lot and I like him
Brown - F**kin ....... * censored by the moderators *

Would you like to list here, your qualifications for writing such a scathing attack on our Southend United.
Not sure you would be able to motivate yourself let alone any of the players.

It's a parody, 'spoons'
Oh yeah, forgot about them, so looked it up........
Full Definition of parody. plural parodies. 1 : a literary or musical work in which the style of an author or work is closely imitated for comic effect or in ridicule. 2 : a feeble or ridiculous imitation.
Definition 2 will do for me
:winking:

No dramas, mate.

Just a bit of light hearted fun. I never said it was any good! :winking:

I'm actually on your side, btw.

Onwards!
