The current striker situation

You don't see Kerrea starting on Saturday?

No I don't, I think it will be Hunt to be honest.

I wouldn't say that Harrold has been very good in all the games I've seen this season IMO, but I would stick with the Harrold/Clark partnership on the principle that if it aint broke, it don't need fixing [for the time being at least].

IMHO, I think he has been. Plus he seems to be winning over a few fans as well which is always nice.

Stick with the two wer using with macdonald back up.

I like Harrold a lot he does a lot for the team, keeps it simple, Macdonald might bring you more goals but I dont think there will be much more and Harrolds contribution would out weigh that.

Clarke is the only proven finisher at this level we have, and to be honest harrold has scored at this level before also. I like what we have now we have clarkey.

No, and he shouldn't. He should be on the bench just in case we need a change late on. That's what I said in an earlier post.

How late is "late on"?! :p At present, I can see him replacing Clarke on 75 minutes with Harrold still maintaining a full 90.

Depends on the circumstances of the game...basically it's another option up front should we need one. Given our success in recent weeks it seems silly to upset the apple cart.

Just wondering why the reserves are playing a 3-4-3 right now.
Is this something Tilly & Brush have asked Deano to experiment with as they maybe feel the squad would suit lining up this way or is it simply either Austin's favoured formation or the fact that from all the players available to play on Tuesday, they felt that was the strongest formation.

Maybe a front 3 of Charlie Mac, Harrold & Leon C is a possible?

they tried in some friendlies as well I believe, i remember Tilson saying they wanted to experiment with a different formation...maybe the plan B formation.

We played it a few times last season when we were chasing games (Norwich being a notable example), and Tilly was quoted as saying he wanted us to practice it in pre-season to increase the players familiarity with it - guess that follows to the reserves...

Yep agree with that. So if we lose on Saturday and Harrold/Clarke is judged to have had a bad game, do anyone think a change will be made then, or do you think even in this case, they will secure their place for at least another match afterwards?

I would like to think as a pair they've earned the right to be cut a little slack...

Given time and the chance, Charlie McDonald will turn out to be a good signing for this club. 27 goals last season at albeit a lower level but the fella certaily knows where the goal is, that's for sure. He has also scored for Charlton in the Premier League - not many of our players have done much at that level have they?

Clarke looks good but will be off at the end of his loan so make the most of him while we still have him here.

Eric may stay here a bit longer after his loan if he wants to and we want him too, he's not going to go back to Leicester and play in their first team. It's the same for Kerrea if we want him i believe we can have him until the end of the season. Clarke deal is supposedly done but we'll wait and see!
