Interest has dropped off massively after the Dagenham defeat.

Before that we had 8000 v Bromley, 6600 v Solihull Moors, 7200 v Grimsby and 7500 v Dagenham - over that stretch we averaged 7356. People thought we were going to **** the league. Then we went and lost heavily and our crowds basically overnight collapsed by a third to 5643 in the games that followed from Altrincham to Weymouth.

So interest on season tickets is likely down a third as well.

It’ll probably go up if we announce a raft of signings and get some more feel good factor back plus there are always people (maybe 25%?) who just buy late.
Signings always help when it comes to growth of crowds. Lets just say we sign lapata and few more of that ilk then fans will know we mean business, which inturn will produce larger crowds for home games. If we sign Kenny clark and few players of his ilk per say then my guess crowds will start dwindling. Recruitment is key in not just on the pitch but off it to.

If you include the Cyprus red, it would need to include the approx 48 games for Cyprus and the in excess of 210+ for southend (Bromley was the 200th) This is a card every 4.7 games. So, using your method and ignoring the decimal its rounded up to 5.
A card every 5 games playing wing back or central positions isnt too bad. Its approx 8 over season.
Just a different view of it.
I understand JDs contract is already extended because of the number of starts this year, so like him or dislike him, hel be trying hard again next year I suspect. Hopefully, now we are better organised as a club he wont need to go in goal or manage the team next season, though I know he woud if required.
On reflection should have left out the assault and battery charge against Cyprus, and my stat would have stood, lol!
BTW, I divided the 51 cards into the 191, so let's round it up to a booking every four domestic games.
In the EPL, 'a player getting 5 yellow cards in 19 games, the player will be suspended for one game'.
Do I need to point out that's a yellow every four games?
That's not me, that's the powers-that-be who think one in every four is excessive.
That 'trying hard'?
Did you think a two-footed lunge in a nothing game that robs us of his services at the beginning of next season was trying hard or just dumb?

He won’t be a key player next season though.

Wat has that got to do with the amount of income we may have earned for S/C sales?
Supporters arent willing to watch national league football, being in this division is killing us and so obviously we wont sell as many s/c compared to previous seasons? Fans are fickle.

They might buy late but basically it comes down to being successful on the pitch! We have a good 5000 + hardcore fans and as soon as we do somthing well u know the rest.

So we had at least half a dozen games this season when even the hardcore weren’t turning up?

This includes the recent Boreham Wood game.

We had 3342 for one of the games towards the end of Brown.

I'm looking at our average crowds. For the majority of the season we are very well supported home and away

I agree with you his cards and antics have now become annoying but not as annoying as his p*** poor set pieces. Especially when he shoves someone better of the ball.

However If Demetriou starts the first league game at LB it would mean our finances are so bad we may be looking at a relegation fight.

The news that Dunne hasn't played enough games to trigger the second year of his contract gives the management team further scope to revamp the squad ahead of the new season.
Dunne is clearly a good pro, but we certainly need more mobility, pace and goals in the middle if we are to challenge.

Of those out of contract, I'd only be looking to keep Arnold, Hobson, Ralph, Bridge, Benton Coker and Demetriou (player/B team coach).
I haven't seen enough of Ndi to comment on whether he has what it takes to step up if Arnold is sidelined.
