The Ashes Thread

Who will win The Ashes?

  • Poll closed .
I have Johnson as bowler on my team so hopefully he'll stop being used. Use Siddle, i ain't got him and get 6's. Strauss still in. But i'm amazed Cook has got past 15. Anoyying thing is i had an urge to put Cook in my team. I didn't :(

Siddle is putting it up there and swinging it across. With the slope by the looks of it. I think he will be the dangerman to these 2 at the crease who are predominantly back foot players.

Looks like the only one who could give us a problem, yeah.

Quite comfortable at the monent though! Keep it up england :)

You're right on both counts, but personally, I'd do it 10 at a time. It's no use celebrating your 50 and then setting your sights on the ton and forgetting the 49 or whatever it is runs in between.

Great morning from the lads.

The Ozzies look a bit clueless and nervous.

The next session is crucial. Cookie and Strauss need to hit 100's.

Comment of the day from the BBC text page -

"Johnson is bowling with all the control of an incontinent pensioner" :D

Stating the bleeding obvious, 126/0 is a good platform, but England need one or both to get a really big hundred, plus the other batsmen all contributing as the convicts did in Cardiff.

After the start England have had 500+ must be the target.

I'm sure Tuffers is toking off a big bong in the commentary box...

about the Queen - "I think she's a fish girl!"

:D

I have bad news.

It is currently ****ing it down where I am (Gloucester). If it carries on like this and moves off we may have a rain stoppage by the end of the day. Certainly that outfield's going to take a pounding either tonight or tommorow.
