Without Rusty here anymore this thread is going to be 100% of people agreeing guns should be banned.

Even if you want to say "ok, Americans have the consitutional right to own a handgun", the idea that people can own automatic weapons with such devastating power is just completely mad.

I remember the criticism the police got at Charlottesville about letting the neo-nazis bear arms and stuff and be unchallenged even when the thugs got violent, but apparently the police were completely outdone in terms of weapons/protection. The white supremacists spent weeks bringing in weapons and stockpiling them around the city in preparation. If anyone decides to open fire then you'd be looking at massacre.

Nobody here is going to disagree mate, everybody except the Americans can see it's totally ridiculous. Jim Jefferies may have put a comedic slant on it but some of these yanks would go to war for "their right to bear arms" just like they did to keep their slaves.

Donald Trump used the London Bridge to defend their gun ownership and tweeted about how guns weren't a problem because terrorists can just use trucks and knives.

Well one person with guns has shown just how lucky we are they do have to resort to using vehicles and knives over here.

Yep, especially as the NRA pretty much bought the Presidency with a huge donation to Trump when he promised not to look at the 2nd Amendment.

Because it was a White 64 year old, it will swept under the carpet in a week or two, however if a muslim the travel ban would have been forced through, don't like PM but to day I totally agreed, he was very emotional and even took the security expert to task who was built like a brick *********

Sadly, this will happen time and time again because those in power just don't want to change the status quo.

We get the same old excuses that guns don't kill people, people kill people. Fine, so stop giving guns to people then.

I guess, if the US would prefer to keep the 2nd amendment and accept the possibility of future mass killings, then who are we to criticise. Just don't go there for your holidays.
