The 2nd of the season begins!

The General

The Mouse (*)
Into Season 8 and we are now set to play our 8th FC match of the season!

After hosting One Team....One... last week, they return the compliment and the General Stars are hoping for another win. Fitness is pretty good within the camp and the manager wants this game over quickly. This means both Jackman and Guy both play along with Akram, Thommo and Tommy in the bowling attack. Titterton joins the normal faces to bat, which does mean we only bat down to 6. Stanton in behind the stumps as Browne, Tapp and Raven dont play.

Kev

Waiting to see what happens after the updates in the morning, but as we play the leaders, can't see me wasting too much of my stars' fitness, although we do have one of our easier OD games on Friday. Evelyn and Middleton definitely won't play tomorrow, as they are both at Invigorated, but a few of the others have chances if they move back to Sublime from Energetic.

Hoping to sneak into the top-half of my FC league by the end of the season, as PFL issues start to bite on some the teams in my division. Looking for a top 2 finish in my OD league, would need to beat KLTCE in 2 weeks time to come top, but I'm not sure I'm really good enough for III

I've got no bowler better than invigorated, despite easily beating my opponents last week inside 4 sessions. They rested players, who I expect will return. Annoyingly this will drain my fitness before a winnable game in the one-day league.

I'd love to see humid conditions tomorrow and then win the toss, but forecast is for bowler-strength-sapping sun.

time for another crack at Aardvark Nigel after they beat us convincingly last week. our Green home pitch should suit us better than their Cracked surface though, and i'm hopeful they might rest a couple as they're challenging in both leagues. Nico and Harmless come in for Stevo and Billy G, giving us two medium-pace options and strengthening the lower order.

donkey line up again but as I am away no doubt he'll stretch the batting out - concentrating on big OD match on Fri

Well, no real changes overnight so have decided to play both Curle and Schoeman as they are both at Energetic, O'connor plays as well, leaving Evelyn, Middleton, Prasad and Brinkhuys to get some more fitness before Friday's OD game. Oppo has slight PFL probs (couple of Livelys, couple of Invigorateds) and he might decide to rest a couple as he beat me quite easily last week, so could be an interesting game. Looking to bat 1st as forecast is Sunny all game.

With no cup game to save fitness for I'm not sure what to do with myself. Everyone is fit bar Lamo & Richie so I think I'll play a full bowling attack and rest those two. My opponent has a great team but fields numpties for the FC, I'll be looking to bat and bat for gate receipts. Friday's opponents seem to have stopped logging in (a former Level II team) so that should be another easy game.

It appears that this morning's updates didn't go through until about 8.45, so you might want to check your PFL's again !

Means one change to my side, Brinkhuys now comes in for Charl. Curle has got back to Sublime, which means he might be fit for Friday as well !

BATTY SHRIMPERS v King Kong Ding Dong

We can tell you that King Kong Ding Dong won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

Bollox basically !

Edit - ignore that

End of Over 1 (Maiden). King Kong Ding Dong: 0-2, runrate=0.00
Curle 1-1-0-2
Stride* 0 (0 balls)
Rendall 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Stringfellow c. Law b. Curle 0 (FOW: 0/2)

Oppo has made 5 changes to last weeks team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exeter Bulldogs v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

my team is full of ****e.

I am going to lose anyway, so i thought i would deny them any income, and so i am playing 5 new mediocre bowlers, and declaring at 200 and 100

My opponents are fielding the same team as last week. I should therefore win fairly comfortably. Am batting at the moment and are 95-0.

As I'm at a home, I'll try and make it last 3 days.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 22 (Maiden). Koseys Army: 29-10, runrate=1.32
Sajjad 1-0-2-2
Sutherland 11-8-5-5

Now to bat for 200 overs!

Rendall* 21 (75 balls)
Hodge 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Welch b. Oconnor 18 (FOW: 56/5)

Got rid of his best bat, so this shouldn't take too long now. Then need to bat for 2 days as I only have one other home game (an OD) between now and 4/12 :(
