I don’t want to be breathing in all that smoke thanks!
Silly me for trusting Wikipedia![]()
Did Gateshead and FGR, gave Rochdale to son D1…….defo WemberleeEven my son - who went to FGR - is giving me stick saying I should be lower priority for Wembley tickets. Hey, I was at Gateshead! Not to mention all the many hundreds of away games I’ve been to over the years![]()
It’s where a group of fans hold up a banner, coordinated set of cards together that forms a picture, sign etcSorry if I am being particularly dense or just particularly old, but what is a "tifo"?
like York on the opening dayIt’s where a group of fans hold up a banner, coordinated set of cards together that forms a picture, sign etc
It all stems from the Italian "Ultra" culture, which seems to have infiltrated English football a little since the early 2000's. Palaces "Holmesdale Ultras" have probably embraced the culture more than any other group in English football and were one of the first such groups. When we came up with the idea of "TBV" back in 2007 it was off the back of some good chats with guys from Palace and other groups across the UK.Sorry if I am being particularly dense or just particularly old, but what is a "tifo"?
It was so simple last time. They literally said, blocks 156 and 155 are the singing section. Job done. The singing section’s success is all going to come down to clear communication from the club. As organised as some of our fans are, not everyone is on SZ and this needs to be put across the clubs official social media so people aren’t disappointed with having to stand/sit.
Agree with you.Even my son - who went to FGR - is giving me stick saying I should be lower priority for Wembley tickets. Hey, I was at Gateshead! Not to mention all the many hundreds of away games I’ve been to over the years![]()

"Tifo" is short for "Tifosi" which means a group of fans in Italian. "Tifosi" originates from "Tifoso", which means fanatics. So basically a group of fanatics that are known to bring noise and colour to whatever event they attend. Ferrari F1 fans for instance are called the "Tifosi" and you will often see them with flares, flags, banners, horns etc at races.
It's a marmite culture here in UK football. Personally (obviously) I'm all for a few displays and plenty of noise at football. That's actually more important to me, than say the view. I'd always stand where the noise is (W Block/North Bank) rather than worry about getting a great view from the South Upper for instance. But, not every fan feels that way and that's fine too.
I am pretty confident if as per other comments we are on the West side that it will be 133/134It was so simple last time. They literally said, blocks 156 and 155 are the singing section. Job done.
Replace Ray Winstone with Kev Maher and I’m in on thisAnother left field suggestion for a tifo, but this one would go down in history. How about we all hold up cards that reveal the image of Ray Winstone with the snooker balls /sock from Scum with the caption “Who’s the Daddy now?”
Just spitballing tbh, I’ll circle back if I come up with anything else
Apologies, I clearly mixed up west and east so we will have the standing section in 111 and 112 mainly with a smaller bit in 110.I am pretty confident if as per other comments we are on the West side that it will be 133/134
Will be the Torch as the main boozer I suspectWe on a different side to the Wycombe game?
Presume that means the green man is out of the question
Well me too, but that’s if the website doesn’t crashWill be getting tickets in TBV section tomorrow....excited isn't the word.
