Tam set to return to Millwall?

Disappointing, but we do have options. People have already mentioned Leonard, Woodyard. Could Spicer play deeper? Equally where does Donnelly fit into the equation - does he come in and allow Laird to play deeper. One door closes, another one opens. It's a key position to fill though.

I think Laird could drop deeper and either Timlin or Donnelly play alongside/in front of him

The best player we've had since Gower, IMO. Hopefully Sturrock can find someone with a similar pedigree to replace him.

Tamika set the world alight initially but not at his best the past three games. Still, a very decent player though.

Donnelly was my plus point of today, looked very tidy and comfortable on the ball in his fifteen minute cameo, he dropped off and looked to pick up and ball and produced some good good passes. Need to get him, Freddy and other non starters some minutes.

Pretty sure Donnelly's loan spell expired after today's game as well.

Donnelly would be well worth keeping here longer,He is tidy on the ball and has a good range of passing.Essex senior cup game at Waltham Abbey next Wednesday will be handy too play some of our squad players.

Yes , South Upper

I like Tam, it's no coincidence that our good results have been with him in the side, but I don't think he looks fit enough to even play at our level so not to sure what he'd be like in the championship. Will he even get a game?

Agreed. He faded badly yesterday, having been the pick of our midfield first half.

I can't think of one game he's finished strongly.

It's a long term injury he's coming back from so that isn't particularly surprising but I think it's in everyone's interest if that loan is extended for a further month.

That will give us time to try and sort out a permanent replacement and bed them in slowly. IMO Leonard would be the pick out of the options currently on the club's books.

I wonder , has Cresswell ever played holding midfield ? With Phillips now fit + Prosser playing well they would be a speedy strong partnership at the back, with Cresswell holding just in front + he has quality passing ability to play in midfield, also to push further forward when needed.... Looks a very decent spine of the team to me !

i'd love to see this team for saturday

CLOHESSEY..PHILLIPS...PROSSER......BARKER

HURST...............LAIRD..............TIMLIN

Cresswell IMHO is not mobile enough to play in that role. Having played there myself I can tell you there is a lot of running. Personally I think Timlin is the best of a bad bunch that he have to offer. Anyone else is wrong. Think Woodyard in time could play there but needs to beef up.

Defence I think needs Phillips and Cresweel back in it. Looks weaker to me with Prosser in there. Also both Phillips and Cresswell offer a goal threat.

Personally based on current personel I would like to see as follows

-----------------------Smith----------------------
Clohessey --- Phillips--- ------Cresswell----Straker---
--------------------Timlin-------------------------
Hurst--------------Laird------------------Tomlin---
----------------Britt--------------Freddy------------

All decent footballers in there and three goalscorers not two. Might consider Donnelly as he looked in the cameo he made a very crisp passer. Hard to judge really.

Who is speedy between Phillips and Prosser????? Can only think you mean Prosser but he is only fast compared to Phillips???

IMO , probably one of the most consistent players during our good run.
Big kick in the teeth if he's dropped now.
