T20 World Cup

Fantastic stuff from England.

We led from the front and were never in trouble. Huge credit must go to Andy Flower for the job he's done.

Always have a similar conversation with Gerald, my English colleague down here. He believes that English cricket (if not all cricket), is in terminal decline. Doesn't even want to talk about Twenty20 matches, which he considers an ephemeral diversion from the real game. He claims that the four or five day game is dying on its feet and won't accept the argument that the shorter 'fun' games help draw people into the sport............and that those people may later, go on to enjoy the more subtle attractions of the County and Test Matches................................ Discuss?!!!!!

All cricket is good, although tests remain the ultimate.

Test cricket (at least that involving England) is alive and well. Reports of its demise are unfounded.
