T20 World Cup

Why the **** is Sidearse playing in place of Anderson. He's gone the distance in every game so far :headbang:

Looks like England judged it very nicely - all wrapped up with 3 balls to spare. Good cameo from Lumb with 25 off 13, but KP has been the mainstay - 70 off 52, a lovely innings from him.

Plaudits to Yardy with the ball - 2/19 off his 4 ov is pretty darn good at T20 international level.

Plaudits as well to Pakistan's fielding - as dire as ever. KP should have been run out in the penultimate over, but the bloke ran past the stumps without managing to dislodge the bails. Nutter!

England win by 6 wickets - nice one!

:)

Tell me about it.

How Sidebottom gets in the England side in any format is beyond me. Especially in 20/20 when his bowling is wayward at best, he can't bat and his fielding is woeful.

Chaps - is humble pie on the menu for you today?

;)

Here's what Cricinfo had to say about Side@rse's performance on Saturday:

Yardy's wicket owed everything to Ryan Sidebottom's remarkable leaping catch running back from short fine leg.

Sidebottom completed a superb day in the field with two wickets in his final over - the first from a sharp caught-and-bowled chance - to wrap up a resounding win and take England one step closer to the semi-finals.

Sidebottom cleans up: To go with his athletic, leaping catch to dismiss Gibbs, Sidebottom picks up three wickets in his last two overs to wrap up the game after the good work done by England's spinners

Top result for England... the spinners exerted control, and their eight overs produced figures of 5/55, which is excellent in the T20 format of the game. Good to see another bludgeoning knock from KP - 53 off 33 signals a renaissance for him, with Kieswetter contributing a very handy 42 off 41.

In the brief bit of the game I saw on Saturday, I must admit to having a wry smile on my face as I watched Kallis bowling to Pietersen and Kieswetter... how jolly Seth Efrican the whole spectacle was!

:D

Still... if we keep going like this, a semi-final place beckons. I'm officially impressed - particularly because Eoin Morgan (on whom we normally rely so much) hasn't done too much yet in either Super 8 game. Perhaps the best is yet to come!

1 swallow Matt... :)

Anyway, great to see KP back to his swaggering best. Just hope he can keep it up until January...

Let's hope KP returns in time for the Semi Finals... Should we get there! In the mean time... good luck today Ravi.

Fair play to Sidebottom, an excellent performance from him.

Still not overly convinced by him, but long may them type of performances continue.

Blimey, what a finish by the convicts, Mr ****ing Cricket takes 23 off 5 balls in the last over.

Roll on Sunday.

Well worth getting live streaming for those last few overs. In the final, is it better to put Australia in first (if we have the choice)? Doesn't seem to matter what target is set for them, the Aussies are capable of getting it!
Slightly off subject but did Essex virtually have a 2nd XI out today, against the tourists?

Only 3 players played against the Bangles who played in the last championship game.

Essex will probably have fielded stronger 2nd XI teams.

What site were you getting your streaming from?
