Awful draw, could have been the final!!
Shea Stadium, 1965......no-one played stadiums back then, no-one would have dreamed of doing so before The Beatles came along. For all those stadium bands (like Queen) who followed, the Fab Four paved the way.

The first is very rearly the best , and remember they became popular as Teen idles not so much for their music per sa (which came later) .Stadiums were the next logical conculsuion for venues (im sure the Yanks started them first as well)
So they were teen idols, so what? That's POP music, which when done well is the most awe-inspiring music in the world. Those early songs were amazing, classics which are as familiar to many people as the nursery rhymes they grew up with.
Later stadium gigs only improved because the technology improved. If you could take The Beatles in their prime and give them Wembley Stadium now with a modern sound system and the standard budget of a stadium gig and they would blow everyone else out of the water!
The Beatles inspired a nation and generations of new musicians
Queen inspired a 1 trick (Mres T) comedian to produce a tat musical
How on earth can you put Queen against the Beetles in the 1st round.....
Should've been at least a semi final pairing!
