May I suggest a few songs summarizing our season and thanking the players etc, in the hope the better ones stay.
OK, we didn't get into the playoffs but, they got us to a Wembley final and there were some solid performances from some of them this season. ie Que Sera Sera..whatever will be, will be..we went to Wembley...Que Sera Sera etc etc

Instead of facing the away fans and gesticulating why not sing songs about our own players to raise their spirits :winking:

Seriously though we need our own song, something that gives us an identity. I know its been spoken of before but when Bristol Rovers fan sing 'Goodnight Irene' it puts chills down your back.

Can we not find something similar?

Do these sort of songs not normally come from history? Think it would be pretty meaningless to adopt a club song in 2013 that has no real meaning to the club.

Yes they do, but lets be honest, blue army over and over is just a tad moronic in my opinion.

Why not try to create something instead of being content with what we've got? History has a starting point.

Released in 1963. Thats 50 years ago and its about Southend :loyalsupporter:

Surely if the chants continue to the detriment of the players and club the North Bank will be closed and TBV will lose it's "official" recognition ?

It had nothing to do with me I was down the front chatting!

Brilliant response. Personally just as the season end couldn't come quick enough due to the poo performanceson the pitch I think the same can be said for TBV. Maybe spend the summer trying to work out what it is you are trying to achieve because I'm not convinced you are bringing a benefit to the club at the present time. I see one of the original founders of the BV doesn't appear to be involved anymore so perhaps it really is time for a re-think.
