I think it’s admirable there hasn’t been more leaks and wouldn’t admire anyone that did. In fact I’m not overly impressed that the leaks at the moment are largely from one side and presumably due to a large number of gobby local connections. I’d Still like to know where Stan and his earlier ambitions stand in this.

Thanks Carl, appreciate your insight here as someone who has a unique angle from your experience on the other side.

Your "and one other" point intrigues me, and whether that's what GBJ is referring to about another interested party potentially making progress if (and a big if) exclusivity hasn't been granted?

I’ve not seen any sensitive info, grand plans etc?

All I see is lots of concerned fans that love their club, frantically searching for credible info (in amongst some utter guff) and hoping that this nightmare will soon be over. We all feel the same, remember that. Imagine for a moment how the poor staff feel, before you start getting in a fluster because we might miss out on a target. It’s ****, but we are all living it to varying degrees.

This is a time to remain United and focussed and remember, we all love the ****ing club you idiots and all want the same thing. New owners, stability and hope for a brighter future.

I have heard similar but not from an ITK, but then CP reported they had started the F&P test which sort of indicates they have been given exclusivity as otherwise why would you do that. The whole things is a real pain in the backside as no one seems to know whats what. Typical SUFC

If you’re so concerned why not call either of the parties? And if that’s not an option open to you, then the reality is that exclusivity probably isn’t something that affects your day to day life.

Sorry to be blunt about it, but it’s true… there’s more important things to worry about unless you are buyer, seller, agent or prospective buyer.

I think we all care immensely about this club and that’s why it affects us. I care more about my feelings than money and this is impacting my life. Not life and death, it’s far more important than that; as the famous saying goes. My feelings are aptly summed up by Jai in his fantastic article on our latest court appearances.

That seems a leap. As far as I can tell it’s a form to fill out. Maybe there’s a fee to be paid as well but that fee will be a drop in the ocean compared to the legal and accountancy fees they’ll be expending on DD.

Moreover it is a NL requirement rather than a Ron requirement.

Perhaps I worded it extremely bluntly, but whether there is exclusivity or not doesn’t really impact whether the club will survive, be sold, etc - all we can do is hope and wait for official announcements. Until shares are transferred, it’s not done.

Personally don't think its a leap, i also thought somewhere it was reported or tweeted so, where by CP that they had been granted exclusivity. Agree the cost isnt going to be large (if there is one) in the grand scheme of things

But if your right and it is a leap then my optimism is going to go down the drain again, the longe it takes the harder (in my opinion) it is for the out of contract players to stay. You cant keep saying this is going to happen and they it drags on, they all have families to care for and bills to pay so they will take an offer elsewhere of they have too. We know Hobson is off and Murphy and Hyde wont be back (to injury prone for me anyway) but what about the likes of Ralph and Bridge/ Can we take Collins option up if we dont sign a number 1 keeper.

There’s no fee to be paid, and if there was you’re right it wouldn’t pay for 10 minutes of DD. And yes it’s a FA / NL requirement (although likely Ron as seller would want confirmation as well before getting too deep).
