Plenty of us have bought houses but how how many have bought a business loaded with debt and as far as we know PP for the new premises not 100% passed.

Will Ron keep his promise to write off all the debt or will he now say I haven't built a
stadium after all so no.

Have SBC said no you can't go back to a 22,000 seater as we would require more parking and major road improvements.......And we will need you to replace the lost housing units as they are part of out total we need to satisfy the idiots in Westminster.

Part of DD will be 100's of boxes to be ticked. Ron can't possible answer them all and nor would you trust him if he did. The only thing certain is he wants to sell and they want to buy. That's actually good news for us fans.

Our situation is unique even for football take overs and geographically there are very few alternatives to games at RH or FF if it all goes wrong. It make take longer but far too many have got carried away with finishing line syndrome. Be patient boys and girls we are still in a much better position that most of us dreamed just 6 weeks ago
The bit that will worry many if it is as CP has messaged- if this is not now done quickly then players won't wait. You can't blame them- at least the better players. So it, indeed, can drag on two or three weeks, and maybe the buyers will think well we'll give Kev an extra million on his playing budget and so it wont matter- he can put Humpty back together again. Who knows.

Why is that? We couldn't sign anyone for 90% of last season and still had a chance of the playoffs with 2 games to go. So far the only things we have heard about exits from that squad are Hobson and some of the youth team,

Genuinely interested into your thoughts and reasoning.

More realistically, the next 4 and a half weeks determine if there will even be a team at all.

PS well done for posting without including a reference to a party at Roots Hall!
Maybe someone ITK on football matters can reassure us that despite CP's tweet we needn't worry?

Totally agree. But we can Only go on what is either out in the public (youth players on twitter looking for clubs and trials) on in the knows (hobson off Jack staying)

My point is that the concern shouldnt be rival's beating us to signings, even though that's annoying, it's that not being able to make signings is actually indicative of the real worst case senerio of being unable to clear embargo = winding up.

It just seems to me that Matt is probably getting info from the Kimura side. Maybe many ITK on here from the club side. Maybe they're not on the same page? Maybe Kimura want to keep ramping the pressure? They gave Ron a deadline last Thursday and that apparently worked (acceptance in principle? exclusivity? DD?) Maybe soon there will be a collision with reality and it will all suddenly happen, or all fall apart.

PS my view its extremely close but RM playing silly buggers and manufacturing reasons to hold it up..we just need to confirm this..we just need to confirm that...oh I just think we need to redraft here...oh and there...

Personally think everyone needs to calm down a bit. All the doom and gloom is boring. Players are still under contract for at least another 3 weeks, two decent groups want to buy us, preparations will be going on in the background. Chill out a bit. If it takes a few extra weeks so be it. In the grand scheme of things it hasnt taken anywhere near as long as it could have.
Rather premature. That's only something that can be determined if and when a sale is completed.

(Verse 1)
In the town of Southend, where dreams take flight,
There's a friend named Simon, a beacon shining bright.
With a blue tick beside his name, a mark of his fame,
He's taking on new heights, playing a winning game.

(Chorus)
Simon Jackson, a local boy true,
Buying Southen United, a dream coming through.
With passion in his heart, he'll lead them to the top,
Together with his friends, they'll never ever stop.

(Verse 2)
From the streets he emerged, with a vision so clear,
To revive Southen United, hold them dear.
With each goal scored, and every cheer of delight,
Simon's love for his club ignites in the night.

(Chorus)
Simon Jackson, a local boy true,
Buying Southen United, a dream coming through.
With passion in his heart, he'll lead them to the top,
Together with his friends, they'll never ever stop.

(Bridge)
From the blue shores of the sea, to the roar of the crowd,
Simon's dedication speaks out, strong and loud.
Uniting the community, their spirit he'll ignite,
With Southen United, they'll soar to incredible heights.

(Verse 3)
The blue tick may shine, but it's the love that he brings,
To the game he adores and the joy it brings.
With every kick of the ball, a bond will be made,
As Simon and his friends create a legacy that won't fade.

(Chorus)
Simon Jackson, a local boy true,
Buying Southen United, a dream coming through.
With passion in his heart, he'll lead them to the top,
Together with his friends, they'll never ever stop.

(Outro)
So let's raise our voices, sing this jingle so grand,
For Simon Jackson, the man with a master plan.
As he buys Southen United, a dream comes alive,
In the heart of a local boy, true love will thrive.

Before you all come for me, delighted if this is the end of the road for Ron and the start of a new journey.

That said, I can't help but wish this would be communicated through the proper channels. Not through a guys personal Instagram account.

I'd like us to be known for professionalism in the new venture, rather than the absolute nonsense we've put up with for years.

Again, I reiterate I'll be delighted when this goes through and will see you all in the Spread for a few. But just hope this level of professionalism is not a sign of things to come.
