Your find TV people are trying to sell this game. They are unlikley to say. This is a load of boring rubbish why did we show it?

Why then were they happy to say that Gillingham had no game plan, didn't know what they were doing, and were poor? If they were happy to say that about Gillingham they would have been just as happy to say that about us.

This league is crap. It was crap in 98-2005 as well and whilst I was too young to remember much of our time in this league in the 80s I reckon it was probably crap then as well. Crap players playing crap football in front of low crowds.

Of course it doesn't mean that we have to play crap football in this league - we didn't under Tilly after all. Personally I'd prefer any style of football that gets us out of this league and into the one above as quickly as possible.

Why? Gillingham only had two shots on target, one of which was a fairly routine save from Morris. They had more of the ball in the second half but barely threatened. We were good value for the win, as ugly as it was.

Stats say Gills had 7 shots with 6 on target.
But thats not the point. The point being we put ourselves under extreme pressure by giving the ball away all the time.
It was ugly but it does'nt have to be like that all the time.

Stats lie then, Gillingham had about 3 shots all night, two of which were on target.

...it doesn't mean the football can't be entertaining though does it? Like I said in my previous post, personally I feel 'I'm suffering the way we play at the moment as I'm hoping it's going to drag us out of this division. It's then my firm hope that Luggy will 'develop' our style of play.

Yes I love football, lovely football, which is why I have sky . But I dont get upset if Arsenal lose (free flowing football), nor Madrid, nor Barcelona.... but I do if Southend lose. Why ? Because funnily enough, I am a Southend fan. I pay to watch Southend win. Come the end of the season, if we win promotion and its proved that we our season was spent more watching the sky than the turf, I wont care. I'll tune in to watch to England in the Euro Championship, because England, full of players on £120k a week always play entertaining football.................. oh hang on, no they dont, they are actually sh*t, and yet I find I dont care as much if they lose as compared to Southend.

(NB to people, Jose 'the Special One' didnt play brilliant football at Chelsea when they won the league compared to the football played by Arsenal and Man Utd etc, yet I didnt see many of their fans Discussing when JT lifted the Premiership Crown)
